Interesting. I thought she was pretty terrible, overall. Like trying to watch Alfre Woodard in Luke Cage. Nothing but overacting and scene chewing.

It’s ugly and I have a 1987 Chevy with the same color interior. The shifter is cool though.
That’s fair. I would have sold it stock for about $5500 so $8k is still too high. It was also pretty boring to drive stock. Lowering springs, shocks and struts and a larger rear sway bar, downpipe and exhaust, an intercooler and a tune made all the difference.
Mine was cheap as shit to own and never had any problems. The timing belt is a service item every ten years or 100k miles. Parts weren’t expensive and it was dead simple to work on. The only money I put into it was for a radiator hose and a fuel pressure sensor, both of which were easy to fix and not pricey at all.
I just sold my C30 for $6700 and it was in perfect mechanical condition with a 6 speed manual, stage 3 tune and supporting mods and suspension upgrades. I also threw in a laptop with the dealer software on it. $8000 for one is a lot of money.
I was about to post the same thing. This is a good choice.
2018 Volvo V60. You can buy a lightly used AWD for about 30k.
I found him via Google. He's not a Congressman. Though he does seem to make independent films of some sort.
It was fucking horrendous.
I certainly can’t see how that headline would offend anyone.
There it is.
That’s almost the exact opposite of timeless elegance.
Forgot to answer the actual question... I don’t think there is much to look out for specifically. I have read that the rear brake pads can wear quickly so maybe have those checked. When I got mine the battery was no longer up to spec so the autostart function didn’t work. There was also a recall or TSB about the…
The T6 is definitely more zippy, but the T5 seems to me to make a fine daily driver. I am coming from a C30 that was tuned to about 315hp and 375 lb/ft. It was certainly fast but there were very few times when I could use all of that power. The T5 has an overboost function that will give it something like 298 lb/ft…
I think it feels pretty good and it is really composed at higher speeds. I have the sport chassis which some complain is “rough” but it doesn’t feel that way to me at all. It’s super flat at speed through corners and seems hard to upset over rougher pavement. Take it out on the highway, put it in Sport mode and…
Good luck! I am a Volvo fanboy so it was an easy decision for me.
I like it a lot. It’s comfortable, reasonably quick, great gas mileage (T5 2L engine). The infotainment stuff is a bit dated, but it works fine. The visibility isn’t great, but no car is anymore (the C30, by comparison was like being in a fishbowl). I am a fan and I don’t have any regrets. Plus, I think it looks…
I would have bought new if I could wrap my head around a car losing 45% of it’s value over 45,000 miles. I couldn’t so I am the proud owner of pre-farted seats.
