Star Frontiers and Car Wars were two of my group of friends’ favorite games, alongside D&D and Gamma World. Such good times....

I love Nichelle Nichols. Growing up watching original Star Trek in syndication, Uhura was my favorite character, and the actress herself is an inspiration when she discusses all of what else was going on (especially the story of her talking about the show with MLK).

I didn’t know that was a term until just now.

she said that Nick’s addiction issues were because of her — “it’s in the genes.”

Well if the darn dog had only stopped barking once he got inside the house, he’d have been fine. ;)

I think you’re reading too much into this. It’s just that unlike Madison & co, who have lived a relatively peaceful existence, Daniel’s family clearly went through violence (with all of their relatives dying) in El Salvadore before fleeing to the US. Daniel knows what people will be like when things fall apart, and is

Actually, Travis saw Nick’s walker-dealer up close and personal until Nick ran it over — twice — with the truck. And even then Travis clearly saw that the walker was still animated, hence his telling his ex-wife that “they don’t really die”.

I thought it was odd that we saw a civilian airliner seeming making a landing (hence why it was so low) when zombie-Susan’s returning husband had just mentioned that the airport was closed.

Can I say Star Trek into Profound Idiocy Darkness? Because I *so* wanted to walk out on it, and only didn’t because the friends I was with would have been annoyed. Although ultimately they mostly hated it as well.

Good grief, are you me? I swear I could have typed that same exact response.

I don’t venture over the river.

I believe he meant “uni-sex”.

That’d be an interesting show in it’s own right, but that’s not this show. According to the interviews/background pieces I’ve seen about Fear:TWD, it is essentially a family drama set against the collapse of society. And they are trying to figure out what is going on, but the point is that they are basic civilians

Madison tried telling Alicia to stay away from infected people (boyfriend Matt in this case) since they might be infectious, and Alicia completely disregarded her. Now Madison should tell her that the infected become homicidal and incredibly difficult to kill? And without any proof?

I also think someone on the first season of TWD (Jenner? Morgan?) said the virus/fever killed off many people in the beginning, who then later turned into the first wave of walkers.

Let’s imagine how this scenario would unfold in real life:

Regarding the principal (copied from my other post), since he wasn’t sick and looked like his clothes had blood on them, something had to have happened, but he seemed to be all alone inside the school. On the other hand, when Madison and Tobias heard the metal detector at the front door go off, they looked in its

Carol’s not crazy. She’s just ruthless, has no time for morality when facing a threat, and will happily conceal how dangerous she is under a floral cardigan & trays of cookies if that’s what it takes to keep the group safe.

Madison may have some PTSD after putting down her friend and boss, but that doesn’t give her a pass from no cluing her daughter in to the danger they are facing.

Assorted random thoughts about the episode:
