I think Nick (Junkie Kid) was actually better last week, but he had much more to do that episode and more of a chance to shine.
Le sigh, your closet is probably larger than my bedroom.
I’ll come! I’m even a gay man, so we (probably) wouldn’t be competing for the same menfolk.
I work with a Carroll, so I have a tendency to type it that way even though it’s Carol on the show.
Carol’s mind is her weapon. She’s the scariest person on the show, IMO.
Actually, it would have been funny if they had showed Carroll with a tray full of cookies.
In this take they did a close up of Carol, so you couldn’t tell if she had a weapon. I saw a different version of this over the weekend (during the Talking Dead episode before the Fear:WD premiere I think) which had a different order of characters — Darryl started, but then Michone, Carroll, etc. — which clearly…
Thank you for posting that. I’m a guy, and to me this fraternity’s antics seemed designed merely to make them appear as funny, would-be pick-up artists. As such, I found the leap to rape/violence made throughout these comments initially jarring, but your comments helped put it into perspective.
Much as I hate characters who seem to wholeheartedly embrace the Idiot Ball (The Strain, I’m looking at *you*), none of those things seemed too far-fetched:
Actually, to my surprise I started rooting for Nick. He’s a strug-out mess, yet he *still* manages to stay ahead of everyone else — and has the sense to run when he can, and do the previously unthinkable when he can’t.
Author/show creator Kirkman has stated that the show takes place on a world where “zombies” never made it into popular culture, and therefore the whole idea of them — and what steps you might need to take during a zombie uprising — are a new thing for a very unprepared population.
But damn, it is infuriating when people express sympathy *to him* about how silly weddings are or how nice it is that he’s humoring me.
While I liked the show generally, I was always excited when I knew the episode had Batgirl in it — she was my favorite superhero growing up (and still is, actually).
Same for me, except instead of Sladen, substitute in Lindsay Wagner as the Bionic Woman.
Once at the gym I saw a woman — not a gym regular for that time of day — working out with weights...in heels. She had regular gym clothes otherwise, so I’m guessing she must have accidentally left her gym shoes behind and decided “eh, f*ck it, I can still bench press while wearing these”.
Wait, your *6 year old* sister sought revenge by repeatedly ordering filet mignon? Did she go to the Machiavellian Elementary School for the Preternaturally Gifted?
Hey, just because we’re geeks doesn’t mean we can’t be physically fit, or even muscular.
I’m 47, have been regularly working out for 17 years, and could see how you could get tired of it...but I’d be afraid to stop and find out what the alternative looks like.
I’m 5’10”, and I feel short compared to the giants around me when I travel in the Netherlands.
