Why are some people left-handed? Because someone needs to be awesome. :)

The area around what is now Berlin has been settled for ages; however, it didn't become a major city until the 19th century — after Prussia unified Germany and with the advent of the industrial revolution, when it's population boomed.

I just visited Berlin for the first time a month ago, and actually rode (on a bike) right past where this picture was taken. The residents have placed those bars, which eventually meet up with re-created sections of the wall to let you know where it once stood — it's actually very difficult to distinguish former West

Hmm, I thought the colonial ambitions pre-dated Wilhelm II. But I would argue that even if Germany tried not to provoke other nations, the situation was rapidly changing in ways that undermined its ability to stay neutral or play nations off against each other. With the rise of the Entente, you had France (hostile),

Except that Germany was doing a fair job of restricting the flow of goods into Britain —- which was dependent on that trade to meet a large portion of its foodstuffs needs.

I doubt that continuing the staying neutral policy would have prevented Germany from getting dragged into a serious conflict before long. For starters, as late-comers to the Colonial Imperialists Club, their efforts to seize territory abroad increasingly brought them into conflict — and usually at Germany's expense —

Actually, instead of Supergirl I meant Powergirl. Who may be the same person, different dimension. You get the idea.

Ok, we'll add Donna to the list. Assuming she exists in continuity at the moment....

But a large part of what you listed there is what has happened to her. Just like all long-established characters, she's going to accumulate history, have her abilities tamped with by various writers, etc..

I'm not sure how that disproves my point that her origins have been meddled with extensively. Yes, each time she's been called Hawkwoman, and fights crime. But the continuity of who she is, how she got started, etc. has constantly changed. WW's origin, by contrast, is far more consistent [despite that one

Job security.

Hawkwoman has *straightfoward* origin? Seriously? The only hero I can think of with a more convoluted, frequently-changed origin is Supergirl. Maybe Hawkman as well.

I've been one of those "on the fence" types. I haven't had the flu in over a decade [/knock on wood], but have been listening to the reasons why I should go get the shot anyway.

I'll confess to having watched a fair amount of 2 1/2 men (in syndication, at various random points in life, don't judge me), and what about Charlie's fiance Chelsea? She was smarter and very successful at business/wealthier than him, yet was normal aside from a few quirks — which is pretty standard fare for sitcoms.

Not to nitpick, but Temporal Void (whose book cover you used) was not part of Hamilton's Night Dawn Trilogy.

Now please excuse me while I go pre-order mine....

Well you could argue that most of the people who die to walkers do so when stuck in confusing situations, or get surprised...but yeah, the survivors on the show have a tendency to make poor choices. Before the plague hit the prison, a friend and I were discussing what we'd do if in their position, and one of my first

Actually not true. In the first season when Rick is saved/hiding out with Morgan and his son Duane, Morgan's deceased-wife-turned-walker tried to open the door to house, and probably would have been successful if it hadn't been locked. So just like the the little girl zombie picked up the doll (first episode),

I'm at work shortly after 7am, but before I leave home I usually have cereal, tea, and possibly some turkey-bacon if I cooked some the previous weekend. Not exactly the breakfast of champions, but it gets me through the morning.

Actually I can change the time without taking it off. But I definitely yield you the point that there should be a lefty version of this.
