I started Googling “Jezebel scary stories 2022" every day the last week of September so I didn’t miss it.

It’s the 80s it’s Halloween on a weekday and I, being the oldest and a girl, am responsible for taking 2 younger brothers trick or treating, along with 2 young sons of my parents’ friends. My parents and the kids’ parents are at our house playing cards and and smoking cigarettes.
When I was 10 my mom and I had to drive through the Colorado Rockies in the middle of the night. We were going home from a family reunion and on the last leg home crossing six states, she said we had enough money left for gas or to stay overnight in a hotel room, but not both. Everything on the trip had cost more than…
When I was 14 I worked in a doll shop on the first floor of an old colonial house.
I don’t get this shit. I really don’t. Moving a table of paying customers for one?
Well last I checked I did nothing to you. I think there are more inoffensive religious types around than you think — you just see the assholes. Kinda like how every atheist I’ve formally met online is a jackass, because the ones who aren’t, don’t crow about it.
Organized religion has done some awful shit and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up somehow.
Agree so hard with the first paragraph. I find the second pretty offensive to literally anyone with a religion, though. Back up on the name calling.
I mean, in the same sense that every Christian who does not live by the bible and the bible’s many, many, many laws are “ignoring” those, sure.
We rented through a company called Royal Destinations. I don’t have the address of the property, but it was right off 30A. The house was not billed as a haunted rental property and we did not advise the company of our experience because we do still use them for other vacation properties.
Santa Rosa Screaming
I’m sitting here nodding about the key thing. When I was in college, I was in a performance of African American Literature class at the University of Texas (I am also familiar with Whataburger - yum). My classmate and I were supposed to rehearse a scene depicting a ritual summoning the gods, and we were to meet on…
Technically, if you want to go to a haunted movie theatre, all you need to do is pick one that’s been open for a year or so and go. You’ll never be alone in an empty theatre. I’ve heard enough stories from projectionists from other theatres that I believe that they’re all haunted.
Just here to marvel at the amazing writing of those stories! I remember being on the edge of my seat last year, convinced that Alan or Dozer would end up dead.
My friend has cervical cancer and received the vaccine in 2010 or something. The vaccine only prevents a very small number of cancer causing strains. You can also get cervical cancer from things other than hpv. I support the vaccination but it’s not the end all be all of cervical cancer.
My main reason I can't get behind the guy taking it out on the repo man is that none of this is the repo mans fault. Maybe life dealt this guy some shit - we don't know the story. But its his to own and deal with, not the repo man.
Show me a Catholic run university, and I’ll show you a university with a bar on campus.
I have mixed feelings on the legal protections vaccine makers get. On one hand, I agree with you: they should be (at least partly) responsible for the safety of their end user. However, despite being one of the biggest modern medical breakthroughs, vaccines are not big business. The 1986 act is largely in place to…
What makes you think that? The CDC is constantly monitoring vaccine safety and efficacy. It’s one reason why vaccination schedules are updated.
Truly an inspiring soundtrack for all the tykes watching at home on VHS:
