Yeah I remember being surprised by that too. It was the tail end of 80s fantasy movies that were willing to scar kids (The Never Ending Story being the prime example).

I don’t suppose anyone has any opinions on the original Hocus Pocus re: it’s status as an overrated bore/underrated classic that they’d like to share?
I LOOOOOOVED Figment as a child. I made sure to buy a t-shirt last time I went to Epcot a few years ago. It’s the closest thing Disney World has to a true deep cut. I am very excited by this news.
“We did not know, for example, that James Madison owned a crystal flute.”
People on here are really saying this looks like “a parody” of The Munsters as if that isn’t exactly what The Munsters is supposed to be.
Thank you for that review of the trailer.
So it looks like an episode of The Munsters?

There are going to be about 10 thousand 'Why we were wrong about Don't Worry Darling' thinkpieces in about 2 years (as there should be, it rocks). I'm glad it did pretty well!
Clueless to me screams summer. It’s just such a bright, sunny film (I’m from Pennsylvania so sunny=summer). Plus I vividly remember seeing it when it came out in June, so there’s that.
“Pugh herself—who supposedly refused to do any formal press for the movie—put out a statement on Instagram last night talking fondly about her experiences filming it, and included a picture of her and Wilde together in-character.”
Just an outstanding human.
This looks really fun, and it’s going to completely blow when The Discourse becomes all about how Tim Burton couldn’t possibly have cast anyone other than his buddy Johnny Depp as Fester.
Zombie Alfred Hitchcock raises his hand (up a blonde actress’s skirt).
She definitely inflicted several wounds on the film, and I’m certainly not saying that her behavior was in any way good, but let’s face facts, directors being shit heads to their actors and crew is a tale as old as time.
No, she was probably just being an asshole, and it doesn’t matter one bit to me. Most of my favorite directors are absolute pieces of trash that I would not want to befriend. Also true of most of my favorite musicians.
My dude if I looked like Olivia Wilde & had her money I would not be on this message board trading insults with you.
Weird of you to assume my sexuality, but yeah that BROS movie looks super fun!
I hope you're right. Like I said elsewhere in this thread the movie was phenomenal.
The funny thing is Armie Hammer is seeing condo timeshares to make ends meet now, so he probably does know all that stuff.
