Pretty bad, I’d imagine.

Yes, if it fits the story, I don’t care. I also don’t care what consenting adults do in general, not sure how I’m being disingenuous about that but whatever. There are enough Bryan Singers out there that I couldn’t really care less if Kiera Knightley and Steve Carell were banging in real life either.

You could, like, watch something else.

Yes, and in that MOVIE, two consenting adults got into a relationship. Like it’s a situation where all laws and societal norms would be out the window, and people are like “Ew, age difference, gross”?

My wife loves him, so I have watched a ton of movies in the past couple years that I normally wouldn’t have watched, and must concede that he’s a hell of a good actor.

I’m not going to cry that they’re ruining Road House, because it’s impossible to ruin, but who is this for? People who want Road House to be good? Who the hell wants that?!

Ducks rule. They can run, swim, and fly. How awesome is that?

The A.V. Club, make a glorified press release?!

Honestly, that does sound better than the movie.

Green Book: “No idea, man.”

People think it’s too “twee” and “indie” or whatever but it genuinely taps into something. I feel like it’s one of the more realistic depictions of what end times would be like.

It’s a movie about the literal apocalypse and we’re worried that two consenting adults having sex is problematic?

His Julius Caesar on Rome was fucking magnificent.

I will!

He praised his wife for giving him a “beautiful, healthy daughter” when his son with his ex-wife was a preemie with a ton of health issues. Asshole.

One of the big hurdles to making people understand how bad this is is, sadly, HIPPAA. Back in the day we had horrifying photographs of children’s wards during the flu and polio pandemics. Now everything is shuttered off due to patient privacy (which is a good thing), which makes the coverage of the COVID plague less

Then replace him with Christopher Plummer!

You can just get divorced & co-parent. There aren’t any laws against it. And you’re both rich, so that takes care of a lot of the hurdles.

Came here to say the same thing. That movie is ridiculously underrated.

*the deepest, most menacing voice you’ve ever heard in your life* “Lucy, you got some ‘splaining to do.”
