Not even a Bruins or a Leafs fan, but man, that was painful to watch.

“Kermit, you sarcastic fantastic green muffin.”

The books came out around the same time I think, so easy to mix-up. Especially with the Jane Austen connection :)

PP&Z is Seth Grahame-Smith, not Ben H. Winters (loved Android Karenina). Grahame-Smith also wrote Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (which is a far more enjoyable book than movie).

For me it depends on who’s posting. And i don’t know what’s going to happen now with the Gizmodo merge.

I understand that this is all clickbait. And it works in bringing people in, but even among the tamer comments, the resounding messages seems be to why even bother doing something like this? (ad dollars of course).

I completely agree there should be some nerd love at Jezebel. I don’t get the point of posting this article at all - especially because in the past I’ve had great nerd convos on Jez. Ok, possibly to troll, but it’s like it didn’t go over well at Gawker, so why do it again?

+1 there. well done.

If you’re going to include the prequels at all, the machete order is the best way to watch IMHO

We tend to congregate over at io9.

Showing love for one of my favorite gingers, Domhnall Gleeson, who’s General Hux in TFA <3

Co-sign about being burned out on Hemingway, although it was less in college, more in high school. I worked with someone The Sun Also Rises and Lady Brett Ashley, and it just baffled me. I don’t mind his short stories (“A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” ranks high on my list of short stories), but his novels are

Nooooo!!!! Not Kitchenette!!! BCO makes my Monday morning!!

+1 for Wilf.

Following the thread.... +1000 for Monty Python :)

I think they work for a second generation. The animals I still have are just a little threadbare in some spots (i.e., not as fluffy a tail as it should be).

Me too! I played with them for hours...I still have some of my old stuff, but it’s a lot of little pieces, so I have to wait to share with my niece until she’s a little older.

You are not alone. Most of my friends looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to explain what they were. And I was surprised to see they’re still around! My niece loves the ones we’ve gotten her and her favorite family is the Hedgehog family (which are weird looking but very soft because they have so much fur!)

Sylvanian Families! I had so many when I was a kid, and now my niece is into them...but some of the animal families are downright weird looking.
