I mean, idk, I don’t buy into the idea that we’re only allowed to care about one thing at a time, it’s equally valid to care about human rights abuses in Israel and the U.S.

ding ding ding!

It’s kinda amazing that this Beard award winning restaurant journalist never contemplated the illogic of Stanich’s story - that a restaurant would have to close because it was TOO popular and packed with paying customers. A restaurateur in that position who wants out of the business simply sells to someone else,

As NK Jemisin says, “The problem is, we live in a society which — due to the fact that racism is our status quo — treats calling someone a racist as worse than doing something racist.”

People like her are why, when folks talk about electing women, I correct them and say, progressive women. I will vote for a progressive man over a regressive woman every single time.

I would agree with all of that, though a tepid repudiation isn’t as bad as making the statements in the first place. I do feel as if in this general conversation (not your specific response) Sarsour and Mallory are coming close to catching more consequences from Farrahkhan’s statements than Farrahkhan.

She has been a force of good on a lot of fronts but I hate that people in these blogs just like to hand-wave away all the problematic shit she’s said and done.

Was it though? The photo from when it happened showed a rainbow Star of David, not an Israeli flag (though it’s easily apparent how the two can be conflated)

Let’s not forget this lovely quote

I think at 52% (or 53%, depending on source) of White female voters at least one of the marches had to have some small amount of (likely former?) previous Trump supporters.

As I do not wish to be held responsible for the words of others when my own history shows that I stand in opposition to them, I also do not think it is fair to question anyone who works with me, who supports my work and who is a member of this movement because of the ways that I may have fallen short here or in

I think they’re married. And he endorsed Marco Rubio for president in 2016.

I’m no fan of Rita Ora, but this is dumb. People have lip-synced forever in parades and unless you live in a cave, you should know this.

Truthfully, the preferred attack isn’t attacking the passwords directly. The most common breach occurs on misconfigured servers and dumping a large amount of information, including password hashes (and that’s assuming they’re properly hashed!) As such, the best password advice is to simply not use the same password

And they of course make people write the passwords down, which is an absolutely killer of security. It’s so utterly frustrating when you have no control over this manner of stupidity that is thrust on you--especially when your own data security hinges on it.

We went to my Uncle’s ski cabin for Thanksgiving one year. It snowed and my mean boy cousins made fun of me because they could write their names in the snow and I couldn’t. I tried,I peed on my new jeans, I cried, I got in trouble for not acting ladylike. And then......I practiced every day for an entire fucking year

That’s filed under ‘what they don’t know won’t hurt ‘em.’

I grated a piece of my skin off when preparing mac and cheese one year. I tried to pick it out/looked for like 20-minutes before giving up.

Im sorry that you had to live that, but I actually love John's reaction. Simultaneously mature and petty.
