I commented elsewhere, but she was 19 in February 2022. She’s not even technically a teen.

She was 19 over a year ago. She’s not even a teen anymore!
The issue I take with it is that “TERF” has just come to mean “transphobe” without any radical feminism necessary. Someone advocating a return to traditional gender roles who thinks that trans women aren’t women because women should be pregnant as often as possible isn’t a “TERF”, they’re just a bigot.
Yeah, I’ve definitely seen articles where I wish they would say “they (antecedent)“ because there’s no way to be sure which of the previously mentioned parties is being referred to.
I’m guessing that some other adaptations will be made to English fairly soon for exactly that reason. I was actually talking to a coworker about this last week. We work with several groups including people using singular they pronouns. Sometimes when referring to the person AND the group, it requires an awkward amount…
I get what you’re saying and largely agree, but at the same time the adversary exists in a constant state of self-induced inflammation. Queer guests could have sipped sweet tea and sang hymns, and the right would have flipped out about that too. I think this was tacky, but you also can’t really fault them for giving…
That’s the general tone I’ve seen. Say what you will about them going ahead with the movie: it’s A Choice! But it’s been a minute since any DC movie got an “enthusiastic rollout”.
You can Google it any way you want, just don't murder someone later.
Yeah, you definitely aren’t supposed to talk about increased health problems from *maternal* age, and articles about rich women delaying pregnancy until their 40s or whatever are glowing.
I meant it's not specific to straight men. Straight women absolutely say fucked up shit when they think they have the power. You gonna #notallmen the OP too?
I don’t think they’re just on the board. It looks like the exhibit was co-curated with the "Sackler Center for Feminist Art".
That caption was so bizarre I was hoping they'd include others do I could judge how representative it was.
That’s also something that straight people in general say to gay people in general. Most of the gay men I know have had straight women say something similar.
You’re right. This contract is inviolable. She must follow it in letter and spirit. It’s not like her employees’ contracts which she has no problem violating.
I think there’s also the tendency of people/organizations that area so idealistic or “values driven” or whatever to feel like that can do absolutely whatever they deem necessary in service of "the mission". Even if that means not following their proclaimed values.
Oh damn, a monetary penalty? For their billionaire stunt casting choice?
Ahh, I missed that. As the tweet author points out, she has leverage that many other actors do not, which she doesn't appear to be using.
Her show is executive produced by her family, she could just pay people.
Oh damn, I bet the executive producers of her show really have her over a barrel with that contract.
Unions have traditional ways of handling this sort of thing.
