Kris got a cut. I doubt she regrets anything.

You can see the movie, which premiered Friday, in theaters” - first paragraph

The four days "off" doesn't sound as cool when it's at your second job.

It’s a lot easier to adequately penalize the gains from insider trading if the people who did it are still alive.

That was also her house being vandalized, whereas this incident was her husband being attacked

It’s been very frustrating in my area seeing people absolutely go for each other’s throats over which state agency they’ll follow, which ones are “overreach”, etc. Of course, it doesn’t help that between the extension service, Department of Natural Resources, Board of Animal Health, Bird Recovery Center, etc, we have

Ah, I misread “the state comes in Contagion-style to ‘take care of’ them” and thought that the state had come. But also... if she were a responsible owner with a large HPAI outbreak, she would be calling the state to come and do testing.

I am shocked that there was a government cull of her birds and they left one. Where I live, if you have an HPAI outbreak on your property, they kill ALL the birds because any survivors (in the unlikely event there are any) will probably be carriers.

Yeah, I definitely am not in the camp of “Woman must respond to everything her unhinged ex husband says.” But also... if it is worth responding to, maybe it’s worth more than just hitting the “share” button?

As far as I can tell, the "flag" function does absolutely nothing. Very interested to see if the report leads to anything.

Anyone got a pool going on when her face gets eaten?

Oh dang, scammers got a hold of your email address? I guess nobody ever told you to be proactive about protecting your information online?

Zing!

The rest of us are just saying “Don’t do this anymore” to the people who are actually doing something wrong. We’ve tried blaming victims for decades and it hasn’t worked yet, but pop off.

The authoritarian parents in that paper actually have the worst outcomes, not the “uninvolved” parents.

You clearly put too much faith in education. You’re getting educated up and down this thread about how stupid your arguments are and you’re still going.

But why is that different than any other crime? If you own a car, you know going into it that people steal cars. When someone gets their car stolen, you don’t say “Well, you knew people steal cars, so what did you expect?” You blame the car thief.

Don’t do analogies. You’re bad at them.

You’re really hung up on that lock thing, and it’s really a bad analogy. It’s more like “Why would you ever have friends over to your house if you’re not prepared to have strangers show up uninvited and steal your stuff?”

Anything in a locked car is as easy to get as breaking a window. Criminals gonna crime.
