Yeah, I finished my associates at a community college and I feel like they kind of falsely deflated their tuition numbers by making a lot of it “fees”. It was still less than the university I’m at now, but... not as much less as you’d think.

I’m a returning student (I went for the first time a decade ago), and I’ll say the book costs for me have been way lower this time. Before, every class required at least one book, and most of the books were $50-120. Since I’ve returned, most of the required books have been online text (which has its own problems) that…

I guess we’re not directly seeing that violence, so it doesn’t bother people as much to reward it.
