i just drove 1600 miles for a vacation. i did it over 4 days. i enjoy driving, and enjoyed the trip from start to finish. no electric car can even conceptually do that. electric is nice for commuting, and i’m still seriously looking at converting something old and antique to electric power for that (all the oem…
hell, pay me $11,000 and i’ll nominate you for president.
it’s questionable though, as a lot of ‘experts’ based the ‘losses’ on product that’s not being built, while GM currently has(had?) a glut of vehicles, so they needed to stop production anyways realign the supply with demand.
you’re missing the point though. it’s not that he did or didn’t do something, it’s the fact that the entire situation devolved because of an expectation of a simple part, and the manufacturer chose to introduce another possible failure mode into that part.
you’re right, but because the door handles are motorized, it brings another failure point into a very simple system.
i’m not really trying to make an argument, i’m trying to understand what ‘deserve’ means in this situation. why does anyone ‘deserve’ more, more specifically, why does this particular group of workers ‘deserve’ more, especially when they’re already some of the top paid workers in the industry?
i did when i started. they were running through the schools, literally begging guys to sign up for classes, saying there was a massive shortage of electricians. at the time there were a few huge projects going on they needed people for.
i’m on 3gb plan. i noticed pretty quickly!
I'd stop random people from swinging, but if i know it's the owner, I'm grabbing a drink and a chair.
I've had to stop visiting jalopnik unless I'm on wifi. With the recent kinja updates it tears through my data like, well, me on a cake.
Not when that 22million is spread out across a few hundred thousand people...
Can you explain why they ‘deserve’ more money?
yeah, i had my location in chicagoland in the first edit, but removed some extra speculation on power generation and it got lost in the shuffle. electrical codes are very much a location-specific deal, which is why it’s always best to talk to a local electrician before assuming any random person on the internet…
electrician here.
i kept watching the second one, hoping the subtitles would change to “my main objective is to DESTROY HUMANS”
i tried it a few times. steam throws an error and attempts to re-download the entire game.
i deserve a better wage too. that’ll be $14,579.16 to connect the wire you already ran to the breaker already in the electrical panel for your new pool.
The record-setting $11,000 signing bonus GM is offering UAW members upon ratification of the contract would hurt Ford, which has more hourly UAW workers in the U.S. than GM. It’s unclear the other Detroit automakers would pay a similar ratification bonus. They didn’t in 2015: GM paid workers hired before 2007 $8,000…
As someone who just had to scour the earth for 5 interior plastic clips, i feel his pain.
