How do you know he didn't try anything? Who are you to assume that by him not changing his position, that he didn't talk to Microsoft? Again, you're assuming that Microsoft actually tried something themselves. He's now angry that this only affects future games instead of past and future games, which I don't see a

Nope, it's just another way to get your game made. If you get spotted by Sony or Microsoft, they usually offer you a deal to get the game made with a better budget in exchange for console exclusivity and limited game exclusivity, with regards to PC. You are not guaranteed success on PC, and Steam is not exactly a

...and?

To be fair, he does own a company that has made one successful game so far. I do think he should patch the game. It's truly astounding how long the game went without a cover picture though.

Oh I don't like his attitude, and I'm one of those people who think he should've patched his game regardless. Just because your game is good doesn't mean you're a special snowflake, and because that bug remains in the game, you can be sure that there will always be a percentage of your fans who will undoubtedly run

What? I never implied that games were terribly broken nowadays, you brought up the defense, and I'm not convinced.

I actually replied to someone who used that defense, saying they have other systems in place for that. I'm interested to see just how "flooded" XBLA becomes after this.

No, you hinged quite a bit on that one comment from Microsoft, as if Microsoft was willing to do something significant. Do I think Phil should have patched his game? I do, but I will also acknowledge him as a number of people who've called out Microsoft for people less than pleasurable to deal with. That statement

What? Entitled because he refused to patch the game? Nobody's elaborating, instead everyone's lumping him into categories.

Like?

Sure, their issue is that there really wasn't any way for them to be on XBL, but that's just another part of Microsoft's XBLA policies.

I would like to see anything that supports that statement from Microsoft as something other than an empty PR move. You shouldn't be so quick to believe everything a massive company says, and that is not his only complaint.

It's Microsoft going for money. These models are archaic compared to PC, and all three companies realize this now. I seriously doubt this was a measure enforced to discourage poor games from being released broken, as there's already supposed to be measures for that.

Oh, right, of course. Microsoft's great for the big guys, but there's plenty of complaints from people who don't have as much money, manpower, or resources. I suppose those guys just want attention too? Jeez, they should stop being so sensational!

I don't know, what is this, the second time he said something awful about them? I think it is. He's not pushing an agenda, or constantly berating Microsoft. He's just voicing his displeasure, which is completely okay.

I love how people call him all sorts of insults when all he's doing is shedding light on Microsoft's very poor support for their own XBLA games. Fantastic stuff, getting a negative reaction just for being outspoken.

It's just another 10-point scale, honestly.

Of course, and just because it's something else doesn't mean that custom games will be available for game X. Custom games are a possibility for either solution, it's up to the developer.

What? Dedicated servers are entirely capable of hosting custom matches.

Question, why the hell does Steam randomly disconnect me for long periods of time? Sometimes I have to install an update after reconnecting, sometimes I don't. It's more annoying than PSN, honestly.
