Ah, here we go — the fun point of internet conversations where sayings like “you’re having such a hard time grasping this,” and “your argument... is not just nonsensical it’s flat out wrong” come up instead of the actual topic.

So let’s extend another movie’s character so the overall shared universe is richer, but the movie is poorer.

Unpopular opinion time: I freaking hate this shared universe movie phenomenon. I enjoy tie-ins from time to time, but it lessens the story when you have to try to link tons of movies together.
