Where the fuck is this revisionist history coming from? Far Cry and the original Crysis were fantastic, and rated as such. Its games after that are decent-to-good, and rated as such. Its technology looking amazing doesn’t take away from that.

This trailer pretty much dismisses the rumors that the movie had no humor before reshoots, unless these scenes came from just-done reshoots, which is incredibly unlikely.
