According to the rulebook, a player is not allowed to throw a glove in an attempt to stop a ball, whether it be batted or thrown, and i think the result of that infraction is awarding the runner 2 bases. Not only should Fowler NOT been out, he should have been awarded 3rd base.

I have a hair on my shoulder that does the same thing. ONE hair. It’s pretty much the only one in the entire area that ever gets longer than 1/16”, but left unchecked, that sucker will get to a solid 1.5”.
