And the on-deck circle for switch hitters is right behind the catcher.

The guy who scored the fourth-most points on the fucking Dream Team.

Exactly. He was a huge part of one of the best defenses in MLB history. Shit, if he can just hit like, 15 home runs this year and not meekly shit the bed every time he’s at bat in a big situation, Cubs fans will be ecstatic.

Damn you. I’m at work.

I am a Christian and am very active in my current church and, prior to that, on-campus ministries when I attended a public university. I was almost held out of leadership on campus because I consumed alcohol (legally and responsibly) thanks to two men in the group who felt that was unchristian. Where that mindset

Not listing Memphis shows you you know absolute dick about good Bar-B-Q.

I hate that at the time of my comment 86 other people are as stupid as you.

So the police officer who just witnessed this act of violence was surrounded by a mob of people who also just witnessed this act of violence. Am I fucking reading this right?

I usually hate those extra hammerfists to a downed opponent’s face…

It’s unnerving how calm both Edelman and Poole are when discussing such an important play in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. I can’t tell if it’s evidence that the players see themselves as just doing their job or it’s proof they’re worlds better than the average person.

I like him defending his QB, who actually put up good numbers during the 6 games he played. They won 3, lost 3.

I’m not sure what they do either, but when they do it before me they are trendsetters and when they do it after me they are retro.

I referred to a couple guys as “hipsters” the other day and boy did they get upset. Apparently the politically correct term is “conjoined twins”.

You won’t believe what hipsters are doing now?

You wouldn’t believe what comes up when you type “squirt and peewee” in your browser.

This. Not only does it demonstrate to an arena full of people that he doesn’t teach that style of ball, the public tongue lashing might make the player think twice about doing something like that again. So basically...

And the other thing that HamNo glosses over is that, by and large, people are clamoring for jobs. Amazon added 40,000 jobs in 2015, so despite how awful it appears to be to work there, they have little incentive to change anything. Unions came to life because working conditions were dangerous and people were dying.

Amazon’s profit margin is 0.77%:

You’re not going to get massive unionization like that at Amazon or anywhere else for one simple reason: People are not willing to die or go to jail for the cause. Their shitty job isn’t so shitty that it’s worth dying over making it less shitty if they don’t die. This isn’t like people working in factories 100+ years
