You reminded me of the Bill Bryson story.

I’m more of an optimist. I predict a “People’s Front of Judea” vs “Judean People’s Front” flurry of microschisms, with various MAGA subgroups endlessly screaming at each other for being insufficient loyal to whatever it is they’re supposed to believe.

Not to mention 20 years banging the “9/11" gong in support of every authoritarian impulse they could dream into existence.

My driving test involved turning right out of the DMV lot, turning right five more times (I literally drove around the DMV, then back into the lot), then parallel parking in a space big enough for a battleship. That was it. I didn’t even have to show I knew how to turn left.

I thought “Why take down Lewis & Clark?” then saw Sacagawea cringing behind Big Man’s flowing cloak like fucking Gollum. “Ah, yeah, that’s no good.”

They are wonderful drinking-game fodder, though. Take a drink every time:

And very charismatic. Not a trait I associate with Kushner.

DeVry will be devastated.

Learning is definitely context-specfic, but reward-based training tends to broaden the range of contexts to which it applies.

I wonder if anyone has studied the placebo-effect of stubborn ignorance.

Personally, I feel the same.

Even worse is that many insurance companies won’t insure homes containing “dangerous breeds.” That further depresses the market for rescues.

That’s exactly the behavior I’d expect from a dog “trained” using Milan’s methods. It learned to fear punishment and humiliation from Milan specifically, so it acted docile when he was present. When when he wasn’t, whatever bad behaviors existed before “training” immediately resurfaced.

I doubt anyone types it. Hell, even the kid himself won’t when he’s old enough. One day in school being subjected to the ridicule of other kids and that name’s getting changed with a quickness.

Imagine living on his planet.

This. The “American Work Ethic” is nothing more than a long con by the rich to convince the poor that drudgery is noble. So noble, in fact, that the rich aren’t worthy to partake.

The will contains his confession to killing Diana, obvs.

And the pack theory also makes the elementary mistake of thinking that modern wolves and ancient wolves behave(d) similarly.

Whenever I read about the rich playacting back-to-nature lifestyles, I think of Marie Antoinette in her shepherdess costume.
