Well, hopefully those not friends at work don’t come back to bite her in the ass. We’ll have to see if one of next season’s arcs is her buried at work trying to handle that case on her own, or if she extends an olive branch to her coworkers to get some support.

What is that about? Someone told me they couldn’t relate because we’re older than the characters. Umm, you were that age, and do you only watch shows where the characters are the same age as you? That’s limiting. I very much enjoy Insecure and I’m reminded every episode of why I’m so glad I’m not 30 anymore. To me,

Natasha Rothwell hasn’t, AFAIK, said whether she wants to have one of Insecure’s real and raw nekkid love scenes. That might not be her thing. Of course, Tiffany hasn’t gotten one either. Since Natasha is a writer and co-producer of the show, I’m thinking that she might have more control of her character than most

Molly’s problem is that she’s using everyone as a stepstool on her way up the corporate ladder. Issa read her perfectly when she said that Molly was going to be a partner and all alone. I think the ladies and Taurean all joined Team Petty AF, and only joined up to spite Molly, since they all felt burned by her. I’m

Agreed. In my household, we talk about what’s going in...not so much about what’s coming out. That falls in the category of “personal time”.

Issa needs to have a Wine Down with Andrew and his hair next season.

I agree that she shouldn’t have chalked this up to a “bad mood”, but his explanation was lacking, and if I were her, that might be what I’d hear. Remember, she doesn’t have the kind of history with him that would allow her to give him a bit of grace.

It’s going to take WAY more than that to make up for that sweater...it was hideous.

I didn’t think that the Daniel arc was a waste. By exploring Daniel and Lawrence’s backstories, we got to see a supportive side of Issa that we haven’t necessarily seen. Issa was in a place this season where she was able to give them

I was wondering why Jared was being so friendly to Molly when they were standing in line. He cracked her face. That was lovely!

Shoot, he needs to be. Molly is a piece of work...FirstAsianBae couldn’t deal with Molly’s shit. I think Andrew is time enough for Molly.

Rent-a-Boo (aka Jared) wasn’t bisexual. He was a guy that had a one-time same sex experience that he said he didn’t enjoy and never repeated. You’re right that Molly messed that up, but that was because she couldn’t get out of her own narrow-minded assumptions that his experience was somehow different from hers, or

Perhaps Molly is driven to violate all of the unspoken rules at work because her personal life is in shambles. I get that she’s driven, but unless she’s going to hang out a shingle as a solo practice, Molly girl...you can’t do it all on your own.

The thirst was real with that one. SisterThirst came zooming across that parking lot and asked why he didn’t go up to the altar. Was she watching him? I know ladies in church who scope out all of the (supposed) single men and put their mark on them as soon as they come through the sanctuary doors. Not to say that’s

Molly has a glass jaw. She hit Andrew with that jab about kissing his boy’s girl (or ex, I can’t remember), but couldn’t take it when he teased her about Dro. How was he supposed to know that she would get triggered? Which she wouldn’t be if she just took her narrow behind back to the therapist and talked about it!!!

This episode truly hit me in my cringe spot. But then I remembered Episode 7 from Season 2, and I think that might have been worse, although the dinner party was hilarious. We didn’t get many laughs in this episode, and mostly from Chad since I presume Kelli is on the Midnight Train to GirlBye with Tiffany.

I wrote an essay in a film class that explored the trope of the Magical Negro, and it included Bagger Vance, John Coffey, the Boatwright sisters and Louise from St. Louis (Jennifer Hudson in S&TC). I figured I’d either get an A+ or an F, based on the professor’s knowledge and ashiness on the subject. He did indeed

John Coffey...JC. Definitely.

I think that’s supposed to be Chad sipping the tea.

ITA. To me, Nanceford was just the catalyst for Issa to make a change in her life, so him sticking around didn’t matter to me. I figured he’d be gone before now. I think Issa needs to be alone to figure herself out and work on her career for a while.

The show was supposed to go from 8 to 10 episodes in Season 2, but HBO asked Issa if she would be okay pairing the show with Ballers in the summer instead of airing in the fall, and that’s what made S2 only 8 episodes. But I really thought we were getting 10 this year. What’s the problem now Issa????
