Hey Stephen, I do believe that the Switch is the 3DS and WiiU’s successor but... It’s entirely dependent on the Switch’s adoption rate. Nintendo have to play this game very carefully just like they did with the GBA advance/NDS transition.

I could see younger gamers propping the Switch up to avoid having to hold the system for extended play sessions.

It didn’t even occur to me until today that you could play a standard game with the JoyCons not attached to any grip. I really loved having my hands feel separated with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, so combining that comfort with a more standard controller layout has the potential to make this my favorite controller.
