I want to edit your fantastic post just a little because I don’t think it’s being reframed as an issue of morality per se, but more as an issue of public safety. Which is also how drunk driving was successfully reframed, I believe. Meaning that yes, we have a moral obligation stop it, but the core of any laws around

There is something desperately wrong when we need our clowns to remind us to cry.

All day long yesterday, I was on the phone talking to people for work, and most of us didn’t (or couldn’t) even acknowledge what had happened. We just put our heads down and went ahead like every other day.

The point isn’t to shame Republican lawmakers, though. It’s to change our thinking and perspective on the gun control issue, and to reframe it as one of morality (instead of loss of liberty, which is how the Rs like to frame it).

A lot of the coverage is pointing out that is age is what stands out as being the oddest thing. But the profile for mass shooter is white. When a guy gets past middle age, the testosterone slump usually reduces this sort of risk. I wonder if the recent trend for testosterone replacement will change that profile.

R I G H T? Actually, dumbfucks, he fits the profile of a mass shooter to a T, as they are almost exclusively white men.

I want to punch all of the reporters pointing out that he doesn’t “fit the usual profile” not only because of his age but because he is white. Some of them have practically said straight out that it can’t be terrorism because he is white. But of course, most acts of terrorism in this country have been committed by

Disagree. The Root has always been straight forward. The article speaks the truth. And sometimes that truth hurts. We gotta do better for all of us for all of us to do better.

Why is talking about the reality of what Black women face anti-Black male? We are always told we’re being divisive when we talk about what’s going on. It’s a great way to silence us and nothing has to change. This has nothing to do with white people and what they want.

Resources are engaged and we have shared your concerns with the appropriate management for consideration in future updates. ;)

I think Charmin Sandiego is a better name than The Mad Pooper.

The article makes it pretty clear that there are restrooms pretty near to where she’s shitting, and in no event should this be a common occurrence. I used to run a pretty healthy amount, and despite digestive issues popping up on occasion, only once did I have an issue where I had trouble getting to a bathroom on

When I first moved in with my girl, (she’s Hispanic), she looked at me crazy when I used a wash cloth. I feel like maybe black folks are missing something on the wash cloth front, like maybe we’re all the crazy ones and wash clothes are just another scam to take money out of black people’s pockets.

Fair! I’m in Chicago and work in a creative industry so it’s actually more weird around here to not be some kind of open feminist (except when it comes to the pay gap, which—apparently we’re working on?).

If I may, I think it depends on where you live. I live in one of those mildly blue oases in a desert of red out in the West, and even here in the bluest parts of Redland, being openly feminist is apparently a radical act.

Getting people to respect you in the workplace seems like a good lifehack to me. There are countless articles on here about tips for interacting with people in the workplace. Weird that you chose this one to complain about.

He’s an outstanding alcoholic.

THEY ARE RACIST.
