Yeah, I don't know if I exactly root for Philip and Elizabeth, but I do find them more understandable than Walt. At least they believe in something, whereas by the end Watler White mostly seemed to want power.

Well, she was probably wearing a wig cap underneath, which would have been even more conspicuous, so I don't think pulling off the wig was an option. But I do think she could have hidden, or maybe grabbed a taxi instead of walking so far?

Well, it sounds like there was some sleep deprivation going on there. I tend to get really emotional when I'm exhausted myself.

To be fair, I think the main reason that there aren't any letters for the mother is that she isn't going to be sentenced until February. It will be a few weeks before we know what they say in support of her, if anything. (I mean, I assume they'll come up with something to say in her defense. Surely.)

Ah, see, I think it's going to be a stellar, high-impact film that ruins Val's career. Jane's footage isn't going to show her the way she wants to be shown, and it's going to make her look foolish.

There's no source noted for the renewal, though, and I can't find anything about it anywhere else, so the renewal claim in Wikipedia might be a hoax.

The house was just the last straw, though. The main issue throughout both seasons has been the cameras. And the constant filming is a heinous invasion of privacy, no matter what your financial means are. He's being secretly recorded while he's trying to tell his wife he wants a divorce! I don't think most people would

And that is why I ultimately can't blame Mark for just being done. I would find it really hard to deal with the constant cameras in the best situation, but I think the real problem would be just never knowing who the real Valerie is or what she's actually thinking.

The thing is, every word that comes out of Valerie's mouth is staged on some level. She can't help herself. Everything she does is run through the filter of "How can I make myself the star of this scene?"

I disagree that she needs the documentary to stay relevant in her industry. There's no reason to believe that the first reality series helped her — after all, she was essentially out of work for a decade — and there's no reason to believe that "The Assassination of Valerie Cherish" is going to do anything to promote

Stacy is one of my favorites this season. If only because she managed to singlehandedly prevent Aaron and Keriann from sinking their team last week.

You know, I actually wondered if that helped her. Maybe she lowered the expectations so much by the way she presented it that anything edible would have seemed like a win.

Eh, I don't know. The person with the undercooked protein almost always goes home. It's one of Colicchio's pet peeves.

Oh, the trolls here are just a warm-up for the trolls at Salon. The comment section there all but requires a hazmat suit.

The modern half.

How did you feel about the ending, though? It was a little too pat for me.

I loved The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher! You should also check out Summerscale's Mrs. Robinson's Disgrace, about a Victorian era divorce case.

Nothing she's written has topped Hotel World for me. Although I also liked The Accidental a lot.

I am reading Ali Smith's How to be both, which is brand new, and Robert Charles Wilson's Darwinia, which has been unread on my shelves forever. I'm not liking either as much as I'd hoped, though.

Or, for a girl, Gunnilda.
