It’s really the best TV series I’ve seen so far this year. I didn’t expect it to be this good. A very astute analysis of all the different angles and putting it in a larger context as well.

I just pictured my brother eating an empty toilet roll and now I’m dying so thank you for that
I thought they did a good mix of trashy fun and seriousness because that is how the trial was. Its coverage was super trashy tabloid type of shit, but the complexities of the trial made it serious, as well.
The campy parts are there, but for some reason they work perfectly in the serious parts. I highly recommend watching it because it is incredibly done and Sarah Paulson gives a performance that is amazing.
Agreed. The Marcia Clark-centered episode was the best thing I’ve seen on TV this year. I was frankly shocked at how good that series was—I started watching on a lark, figuring it might be some trashy fun, and it was at times some trashy fun, but it also turned out to be a deeply human and tragic story.
The FX mini-series was great and it’s all we need. Until the Martin Sheen documentary, which will be a fabulous trainwreck.
I think the FX series did a pretty serious take. Marcia’s episode made me want to cry, and the episode with Fuhrman’s tapes was so disgusting and depressing. That series set a pretty high bar for the rest of these.
remember how long we were saturated in the 90s? that long.
“This is not a film simply focused on the murders or the trial. It is a much bigger story, one that explores O.J.’s life and how race and his pursuit of celebrity shaped it … while at the same time documenting the racial dynamics of L.A. and the relationship between its police force and black citizens – a relationship…
How much longer until we reach peak OJ? I think I’ve reached my saturation point.
So I feel like a joyless asshole after reading all the comments, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM LOVES THIS SONG OR VIDEO, and I not only didn’t like it, I kind of hated it. AND THE SONG.
The religious zealots need to be slapped back, for sure. The ragey-est I get at the news is over the various so-called “religious liberty” laws giving them the right to get in the way of everyone they disagree with (by not baking cakes for them or by refusing to let their employees have proper health coverage, and so…
I am delighted at the idea of a solitary black lesbian just roaming the country trying to be the ideal SCOTUS candidate. Like she’s like “oh come on, Montana? FINE. But somebody better die soon.”
Workaholics gifs are always appropriate.
Also, good points about the word bitch from otherwise sane people and the Brietbart idiots.
The GOP and their fuckery with Iran....like it is is amazeballs that it didn’t become some gigantic scandal that resulted in people getting kicked out of office. Nope. Media flurry, not even a big one, for a week and then nothing.
They’re lovely. What’s not to like?
I understand your point...but isn’t that the point of quality journalism to cover such issues? Legitimate, serious issues are essentially being glossed over in most American media sources in favor of Bernie not being precise or Hillary’s old speech which has been covered numerous times. Meanwhile, Tony Rodham’s ties…
I live near LA and I loathe it generally (I have lots of wonderful friends that live there, and they love it so obviously I’m missing something) and I visit NYC with pretty fair regularity. People in NYC are hands down nicer than LA. People are so much more respectful of personal space there, the times we’ve struck up…
