the game does not balance its threads properly between cpu's I guarantee you that's the problem turn the LOD down (under a different name in their options) that appears to be the largest common problem, and its largely un-needed, as pop in is so far rather low.

I'm pretty certain HotS is standalone to, usuely the term is used to refer how you purchase the game, not how it launches. And I'm certain I know some one who has HotS and not WoL.
