I am a disordered eater, which makes me unhealthily skinny. I get comments all the time that hurt just as much as when I was severely overweight. Body shaming is bad, hurtful, and unhelpful for anyone of any size.

All of what you wrote. I’d also like to add that what’s considered “fat” in our society is beyond laughable, to the point where it loses all power once you realize how often that word is weaponized against women of all body types and sizes. Like, gee, almost makes you wonder if it’s just another way to control women’s…
But I do agree it is when you don’t do anything about it like go to the gym or eat healthy. If you are comfortable being fat especially if you weren’t fat before, then to me it is a choice cuz you are not doing anything to lose that weight. I used to be very skinny when I was younger but have put weight on the last…
I totally agree. Of course, yes, being on either side of the bell curve of weight comes with real inconvenience. And although the media (tabloids in particular) sometimes heaps scorn and unwarranted speculation upon very thin celebrities, the absolute disgust and condemnation that is reserved for fat people is…
I can never make it past that chain around her neck that appears to be cutting off her circulation. As a person who can’t wear anything around their neck without an anxiety attack, it makes me very uncomfortable. When she was on that MTV show about reuniting with your exes (don’t judge me), she wore it all the time and…
Yeah can we talk about how she abducted Rainbow Brite's horse and turned him into a dog because that is a lot more interesting to me than how much she weighs. I need to know wtf is going on there.
Having gastric surgery is NOT an easy way out. I used to work in healthcare. Anyone thinking a major surgery and permanent lifestyle change like that is the easy way out is flat out ignorance. Good for you doing what you needed to do for yourself.
Maybe it’s the fact that just about every post on her instagram is poorly Photoshopped and she’s presenting a false image of herself? Pretty sure that kind of thing can be detrimental to the impressionable. Whatever. This isn’t really news anyway. Be fat. Be skinny. Just don’t lie.
I am, however, interested in this little man going out for a walk.
Why are you surprised that receptionists at random hair salons are not wasting their time entertaining a random phone caller’s random questions about extensions at the RNC?
This is why I cackle into my third cocktail of the morning whenever someone somewhere in the vast sinkhole of the internet whines about “skinny-shaming.” Skinny people will never be shamed, mocked, excluded, or lectured the way anyone with an ounce of excess flesh on their body will in our society. Is either fair?…
Being fat is not a choice. As one who’s parents are heavy, grandparent’s were heavy etc I can state that. I had been heavy most of my life, I have seen numerous doctor’s who have said, sure you can control some it , but a lot is based on genetics, environment etc. I tried almost every diet good or bad. I finally had…
Exactly!! I clicked the link and was like.....did anyone read the text? Please don’t make me defend the Daily Fail!!!!!
It’s funny the first person Pitt is publicly linked to looks like Angelina. That said I don’t think being fat is as much of a choice as you think. There are a lot of factors that go into. I would say if you work a good job and have a decent amount of free time it’s more of a choice. Like for Donald Trump, Aubrey…
Um, Justice, they aren’t calling out Aubrey for gaining weight. They’re calling her out for posting a paid pic to Instagram for a weight loss drug less than two weeks earlier using a pic that was not from two weeks earlier.
I hope your surgery goes well. A friend of mine had it and had said it really improved his life. It’s your body and I’m sure you put a lot of thought into this and know what’s best for your life and health. Good luck! Wishing you the best outcome.
I looked through her instagram pictues just now and she’s very Uncanny Valley to me. Excessive contouring and liberal photoshop on top of fillers, botox, plastic surgery... It’s like I can’t see her because my brain is so busy going “ahh! ahhhhh! uncanny valley, uncanny valley, ahhhhhhhh!” at the photos to register…
They’re not as popular as they once were, but let’s not forget there is still a whole genre of reality television dedicated to shows that profit off anti-fatness
Do we think he told the new wife the truth or that she only found out he was married previously when the NY Times issued the correction?
Did anyone ask Lauren if she knew he was married before, much less any of the details of that marriage (like the pregnancy) or did she find that out by reading the Post?
