Completely agree. I think I have a decent creep radar, but basically I’m distrustful of men until they prove themselves otherwise. But I easily could have been one of the women  he whammed over the head with a crowbar because I definitely would have helped him if asked. 

I JUST made this comment. Why do we keep referring to her as a black woman unless she exclusively identifies as one. Erasure of her Indian heritage is ignorant and harmful. Her damn name is Kamala! Which means lotus in several Indian languages. 

Could we not call her a Black woman? Her  damn name is Kamala! Erasure of the accomplishments of other ethnic minorities is also harmful.

Very possible she didn’t have a cellphone but it’s very strange that her husband didn’t report her missing for three whole days.

I’ve apparently done this several times as a toddler. I’m a waterbaby and every time I would see something resembling a pool, I would sprint towards it and jump in.

I’d be excited for a storyline about them having difficulty conceiving an heir. The stress of being a (foreigner) queen. And also discovering herself and adulting. Ugly couple stuff, underscored by a new/old love interest. And some magic bullet-y happy ending. Also, lots of Julie Andrews.
