I don’t really want to pile on you, since a lot of people have already addressed why the phrasing here is upsetting. I just want to suggest that, in future, if this sort of situation comes up, there are ways to split the difference. If you are concerned about using the word “rape” because that isn’t the exact wording

Yeah I'm against the death penalty but when it comes to children.... I want to fucking hurt these people verrrrrrry verrrrry bad.

I love that she is using her experience to comment and constructively criticize the rape culture we have all around us. She is SO bright and thoughtful, and I really am inspired by the way she took something so terrible in her life and is using it to help other people. I believe she can make a difference in the way

I respect her so much. She has some very biting things to say about purity culture in general and it is wonderful.

She lost me (not that I was ever much of a fan) with that nasty crack about “watch out, Angelina’s gonna try to adopt Lupita Nyongo”. It was rude to Lupita and Jolie’s kids, and really uncalled for. :/

Exactly. That quote is contradictory from start to finish. I never liked Chelsea Handler. Guess that makes me an Angelina.

YES. YESSSSSSS. I love this song. I fell in love with this movie when it came out (I would’ve been transitioning from middle school to high school), and it remains one of my top animated princess movies as someone who hated most of Disney’s stuff (I’m proud of my earlier feminist leanings).

Yep, that was worth $175,000.

Fired is good.

You realize that there is no user manual for how to identify as a multiracial person, right? Maybe two biracial parents would raise their children as biracial as well, maybe the parents primarily identify as black or Asian or what have you and therefore raise their kids as such. This game of “ok so now explain to me

Idk how Kara would define it, but as a biracial woman, I most often use it (when describing myself) to mean someone with parents of two different races. That could be black and white, East Asian and white, black and Asian, etc. I think what Kara means is that it is perfectly possible to identify simultaneously as

George Clooney. still got it

One time, my friend’s brother’s cousin’s neighbor’s sister’s stepdaughter’s boyfriend was walking by a park wearing a baseball cap, and the next thing you know, he was captured, forced to play short stop for six months, and then won the World Series.
