I thought Entertainment 360 closed down after Tom and Jean Ralphio spent all their money.
Usually it’s the lede that gets dropped, not the Lede doing the dropping.
For me Pizza is the one food, either restaurant or to a lesser extent the frozen, where I have some sort of loyalty. I don’t think I’d call it brand loyalty though. I prefer to think of it as taste loyalty. Some places just make a pizza more to my liking and a coupon or deal isn’t going to make me eat from a place I…
Culver's is easily my favorite fast-food restaurant. Good, freshly-cooked food and reasonable prices which is kind of unheard of in this day and age.
They make good fast food that’s (actually) worth the price. Or close to it.
I wish Microsoft had stuck with Mixer. As a viewer i found it a much better experience, especially if you were watching it on the Xbox. And likely because it was smaller, but there was a lot less stupidity in the general communities. Twitch's interface is currently a fucking nightmare to use even on mobile and on…
If you want to play that game, good luck finding ethical consumerism. Almost every major brand contributes to something you probably stand against. I have plenty of queer friends that eat at Chick fil a. You dont get to gatekeep what being an ally means
Only indirectly Jewel related but: She toured with(and wrote You Were Meant For Me with) a dude named Steve Poltz back in the ‘90s. If you ever get a chance to see him, take it, he puts on a great show.
From the video he was texting and the usher/staff member asked him to stop—got all huffy, tried to be a Last Word Freak commenting like a lameass, stormed up the stairs, before trying to get someone/anyone on his side until he was shut down with tail between legs. Seemed like a garden variety shitbird to me. They…
That's obviously the most reasonable takeaway from this. People aren't ever shit heads in theaters.
Replace “trailer park” with “farm” and you have described the history of millions of families in the 20th century, including mine.
As a kid, nothing was worse that grabbing a handful of jelly beans (or gum drops for that matter), and popping one into your mouth only to discover that they weren’t the fruit variety but were the spice kind instead. It wasn’t that the spice varieties were uniformly awful (although clove was pretty weird, and the less…
they are mostly children
I was disappointed in season 2 at first viewing. I re-watched it in February in advance of the new season coming out, and some things have risen in my estimation while other things remain really problematic. Things that I liked better on a second watch:
That’s not entirely fair, and you’re not giving them credit for all the additional reasons they suck.
I have no problem at all with this. Businesses have the right to refuse service - children are not a legally protected class. There are plenty of other restaurants that parents can take their children to.
I don’t really see this as a ban on kids, but rather a ban of the parents who “do not take charge of their children’s negative antics, have no empathy for the people around them, and who may even go full Karen-mode on people who might ask them to exercise some common decency and reign in a misbehaving child.”
I know why this site keeps using the format—each slide counts as a click for revenue purposes. But it is incredibly irritating.
