I’d blame it on Nu-AVClub, but shoddy copy-editing has been AV Club's thing for...ever.

I’m going to dissect this bullshit one bit at a time:

Seriously. I love Metric, but the Brie Larson version is superior in every way. I think I still have some fan edited version that I ripped from YouTube many moons ago.

no offense to Metric and all, but Brie Larson’s version of this song is the best one

I bought a Wii U at launch and it remains Nintendo’s most misunderstood console. people either thought it was a new controller for the Wii and didn’t buy it or they bought it and didn’t know how the new gameplay mechanics of the controller worked.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart looks very good, but it’s part of a series whose heyday was three console generations ago. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade means more Final Fantasy VII Remake—which I am, admittedly, desperate for—but it’s still ultimately DLC for a game I already finished on the PS4.

Never got why people think Man of Steel was “dreary” or whatever. It literally was about Superman making the world a brighter place and inspiring people.”

people think man of steel is dreary because tonally and visually it is dreary.

While Schitt’s Creek certainly got made thanks to Dan Levy being the son of Eugene Levy, it sounds as if you are saying that’s where his story ends. Dan Levy’s “son of” status got him on Canadian TV, and they sold that to some nothing network like “Pop”, and it, like so many other things fell onto Netflix.

You don’t find COVID denialism at all suspect, or is your statute of limitations on “lately” just extraordinarily short?

Wreckfest is a genuinely good racing/destruction derby like game, getting a copy for free on my PS5 considering the hours ive spent on PC is definitely something im happy with.

Don’t worry- it’s three seasons of action and two Of people just saying goodbye to each other

He’d be on the street for years!

This one blows past making me angry/sad about the declining editorial standards of the AV Club and just makes me feel bad for the author for having written it. They really shouldn’t let professionals write without a net like this. I miss Keith Phipps.

That $465 million budget? It situates just one season of Tolkien life in between Israel and Ireland—as in, the countries—on the list of national gross domestic product. It’s a lot of money, is our point.

Choosing to write a story about Rogen’s clarification isn’t the same thing as picking out a specific anecdote from a larger profile of him.

The best weapon in the game is definitely the Bouncer, but it was only available as a preorder bonus for some stupid reason.

It struck me (and did even moreso when I rewatched it before Endgame) as a bunch of runway disguised as a movie (without a proper ending). The characters are mostly just reacting to stuff that’s more or less inevitable (from a needs-of-the-narrative point of view) and, crucially, I never felt convinced that their

Oh, it won’t go away for a while. There’ll be followup articles about Snyder stans throwing hissy fits about the negative critical reaction; articles about how many people ostensibly watched the Snyder Cut on HBO MAX; articles dissecting weird moments and easter eggs; at least one For Your Consideration article

I want to preface by saying I genuinely enjoy(ed) Avengers. I think the core gameplay, while a bit undercooked, is solid enough to carry the experience and each Avenger has a nice, distinct playstyle. The character models were off-putting at first, but I got used to it after an hour or so and it’s never bothered me
