I’d imagine that the principal cast took a small payday up-front in exchange for a sizeable chunk  of the backend.

The ‘Hot Hawaiian’ at one of my go-to pizza joints around here pairs bacon (smashed into tiny, crunchy bits) and roasted pineapple, along with prosciutto and sliced jalapeños.  It’s pretty incredible.

Yes!

Yup! I remember there was a jab at Weezer in the AlTV that aired around Bad Hair Day, but he said he guessed The Rentals were still okay.

Thanks for the heads-up on The Beths! I just ordered their CD (because I’m old) off their Bandcamp.

Worse still — when your affiliate decides you’re not allowed to watch it at all. Trial and Error was pre-empted in my neck of the woods for a pre-season NFL game, and my station didn’t even reschedule it. Just straight-up not airing.

I know I can catch it on demand, but still....grrr.

“Still, “Charlottesville” is one of those names that continues to resonate nine months after crowds of white supremacists crowded into the South Carolina city”

Charlottesville is in Virginia, not South Carolina.

I hopped in here to say ARMS too. I played through the Grand Prix once, and I still dust it off every once in a while when I have friends/relatives over, but that’s about it. There’s just not much of anything to keep me coming back.

I just grabbed my copy out of the mailbox. (Alas, I’m old and still buy CDs.) I cannot wait to give it a listen.

Now playing

We changed TV providers when we moved a couple months back, so now I’ve gotten sucked into watching Japanese music on NHK.

My wife’s gotten surprisingly obsessed with Passcode, which is a heavily autotuned J-Pop band mashed up with screaming metal and a bit of chiptune snuck in for good measure. Scandal is probably my
