I don't know why they cut any of those "Meanwhile" scenes... There is a lot of fun character development and joyful banter in them. Why does the Doctor need a companion? 'Cause all of time and space is his backyard. Why is it a blue box? 'Cause it got stuck...

All right - so first off - I am NOT a fan of the Groundhog Day episodes. ST:TNG couldn't do it well, the golf balls into the Stargate and joy that is Jack O'Neil are the only things good about the SG1 episode, even Groundhog Day itself was only tolerable because Bill Murray was barking brilliant. So, on that note,

@Biku: The second time around Young dumped all the power into the shields rather than letting loose with the weapons. As a result, the ship wasn't being blown away when Scott checked on the Observation Deck so he didn't go in to take a closer look...

Has anyone out there ever read COWL by Neal Asher? It is — quite possibly — the best time travel book I have ever read.
