Blow a criminal’s mind.

Please explain why GM killed the EV1, and why they were all crushed when the leases expired.

The EV1 was an experiment that GM was willing to lose a shitload of money on. Each one sold at a huge loss.

Good point; there were so many awesome electric cars available before the Tesla.

Keyword: “viable”

But ... it wasn’t and was NOWHERE on the horizon before Tesla, whereas we had a number of >200MPH hypercars. Besides, exactly what part of “electric car history” portended the Model S? Furthermore, what Tesla has developed has much more potential to influence regular workaday cars than the Veyron. Already we have not

No it’s not. The Tesla Model S is. Think about it, before both cars existed, what would you have been more surpised about, a >$1MM hypercar capable of over 250MPH or an electric luxury sedan capable of a 3.2 secong sprint to 60MPH and a 200 mile range for ~$100K?

How?

2000 era Subaru Outback - cupholders would block HVAC and radio sightlines/controls. Actually a worse design from the previous version which only blocked the radio. Terrible design. The reason I didn’t buy one.

Wait really? I’ve had an R35 Cooper S in the family for nearly 10 years now and it seems like a fine interior to me. Granted, the Chrono Pack and factory voltmeter are quite useful...

I quite liked this one. A colleague of mine had a fully loaded version and that’s definitely a car I could have lived with, with few compromise despite my 6’2” frame. A shame it was the slow 1.4 diesel with 70hp.

This is the current GOP. Facts are a liberal conspiracy.

Counterpoint, re: Mini. Toggle switches (albeit fake). The best buttons ever put in a mass-production car.

He’s all...

Um but did you see the part where that $5,000 increase (on a model very few people were buying anyways) brought with a range increase, AWD, a second motor, over 200 more horsepower, navigation and a Supercharger?

no he didn’t

Bull. I’ve met as many obnoxious people from Ontario, Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick as I have from Quebec. I also grew up in Quebec. It’s all viewpoint.

There aren’t actually any nice, polite Canadians. The whole thing is a con job that we engage in in order to soften up our opponents (who also confuse politeness

Best description of Quebec French I’ve heard.

Even the French don’t like the Quebecois. Think about that.
