i voted nice price too because i’m 49 and all that. but in reality i’d only buy this if it had AWS. might as well go full crisis.
I’m going to have to disagree as well. I’ve had my soft top Z4 since 2009 and have taken in on a road trip across the lower 48 every summer until 2019. I usually have to top up but those moments driving through the giant redwoods, the forests of the UP or looking at up at the stars and sky in the desert night it is a…
Another hard disagree coming your way.
I have a 2015 Camaro SS convertible, and it is a wonderful roadtrip car! While it may not have as much space, it absolutely blows your typical roadtrip car out of the water in one aspect: it’s a convertible, which is the ultimate vacation-mode car, and can instantly make the trip…
4 college aged guys packed into a Geo Metro with all our stuff, on a trip to Canada and back.
It doesn’t make you a bad person, but anyone who believes this should never, ever be allowed to drive a convertible again, by act of Congress if necessary. Long stints with the top down and the rain skipping by overhead, as it does, and Tift Merritt singing me something true are one of the greatest pleasures in life,…
sorry but this is the worst answer ever. i’ve done multiple 1000+ mile roadtrips and they’re the best. we even bought an old solara for family convertible roadtrips (reliable, big back seat, luggage space). if it’s too hot or loud, put the top up, otherwise it’s great. driving down the pacific coast from seattle to LA…
Hard disagree. My 1995 Saab 900 ate miles up and road noise was well controlled with the top up. My Dad’s 2014 Mustang is also a great road trip car as are the newer Ecoboost convertibles I’ve rented.
We’re in our 60s and get out of our Fit after 10-12 hours no problem. Seems you either love or hate the seats. We’re in the love camp.
THIS is the modern day Suzuki Swift GT...at least it is the closest we can possibly come with today’s regs and laws. They are so tossable in the way that the first of the new MINIs were, but even moreso. Good choice!
personal accountability is preferable to being forced to do something.
I am glad someone thought the same thing. I was very sure Kim’s Mom put here up to it and if she got away with it, cool. If not, she could play the heavy and have the department store guy walk away.
Is Kim’s mom really a “lover of great 80s music”, or does she just have the radio on in 1983?
Lincoln Blackwood. A 2WD luxury “pickup” with a carpet lined bed and permanent bed cover, built for maybe 2 years.
I’ve always thought it would be really cool to do The Regulators and Desperation as concurrent series
... because they’ve spent all their money on repairing/replacing all the stupid shit where VW ruined otherwise lovely vehicles by cutting corners (90s/2000s wiring harness and such, those stupid plastic cam rollers, etc.).
What really sucks is that VW made great cars until just before that time. I’ve had several a1 and a2 models that exceeded 300,000 miles with minimal maintenance(and many air cooled models with unknown mileage). Then,,, I bought a 91 Jetta, and my VW days over(just the newer ones), horrible horrible EFI and tons of…

An $8500 prius is 10-15 years old with >=150K miles. What’s the risk it would need a $$$$ battery replacement? Toyota’s stated life on these is 150K miles and 10-12 years.
