I doubt it - it would have been traded in sometime in the 1990's and I’d be astonished if it’s still running.

Oh, my sweet summer children...

Really? My brother had an ‘87 which he drove all year and even drove from Southern Ontario out to Edmonton. He daily drove it in Edmonton for four winters and then drove it back.

I read a more detailed article that goes into the specifics of his situation. Basically, he was completely blindsided by this and had no reason at all to think that his (recently renewed) green card wasn’t adequate to prevent deportation.

I feel your pain: I just realized how desperately I need to offload my Eos (which should have been named POS).

My wife and I are both in our forties. Our 4-year-old daughter will learn how to drive on a stick shift if I have to buy an aging junker to find one. It’s a life skill like swimming that should be mandatory for everyone.

Any chance there’s a brick of Columbian currency keeping the sunglasses company in the glovebox?

I learned to drive on a 79 Grand Marquis sedan myself. Enormous, gas-guzzling, floaty, unreliable POS that was always on the verge of falling apart. Driving it was a race between rust, the rapidly-draining gas tank and the next major system failure. Oh, and it was hands-down the worst car I’ve ever driven in winter.

Yeah, but that’s true of the stock market as well...

Diesel is a completely different story. I’d be happy with one if they made a convertible or were still selling them I came within inches of getting a Jetta Sportwagen TDI when we needed a minivan (sliding doors turned out to be a must though - we ended up in a Mazda5). That Jetta was a very sweet ride with tons of

Can someone explain to me how I can short bitcoin? That seems like a true instant-return-investment.

I don’t know, man. I’ve had friends over the years with Rabbits, Foxes, Golfs and Beetles that have all been mechanical nightmares. One other friend bought an A4 for the Quattro and sold it a year later when he couldn’t afford the repair bills on the 3-year-old car. My in-laws had a New Beetle that they ended up

I almost wrote that, but erred on the side of simplicity. Yeah, I’ll get it in as good condition as I can then offload it as is with a couple of weeks of warranty left on it.

See, that’s my problem. I’m 6'2" and fit very nicely in a Mini, but every time I’ve tried sitting in a 1, 2 or 3 series convertible the top of the windshield is just barely above my eyeline. I also have a kid and need the four seats, but I have at least a few more years before her legs are getting completely crunched.

Yeah, I need a 4-seat ‘vert as well. What are you looking at these days?

Audis aren’t famous for their reliability.

Let’s see...

But in the end, they DO find a safe haven. All the kids in the program thought Eden was real, so they assembled at the same spot and essentially made it real.

Yeah that was the first pic I found online and I posted it without noticing. I fixed it, but I agree, WTF?

I can’t believe there isn’t going to be some sort of residue/discoloration after you peel them off. It doesn’t even matter if it’s barely noticeable - I’D know.
