It’s a damn shame Nissan basically treated the US market in the late 80s and 90s like a red-headed stepchild.

This thing is for RV’ing. RV’ing is definitely not “camping”.
Circa 2010 I shopped for Kias for a couple of friends. Alabama, Tennessee, etc. ALL of them were scummy beyond belief. (I was the friend who knew how to get good deals, so folks asked me to help so I had dealt with Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, and Hyundai dealers before, and thought I had seen it all. But DAMN the…
Nissan long ago moved into the Kia/Hyundai realm, the ones around here don’t have great reputations, hell, one got raided by the FBI and got busted defrauding Nissan... on separate occasions.
Love it when dealerships try to “help” us look, can tell them need 3 rows, or don’t, and they show you something the exact opposite. The Kia dealership we eventually ended up at showed us exactly what we said we wanted to see, let us check out the different trims for ourselves, said if something else caught our eye…
I have heard that a lot, and replies to your comment seem to back it up. I think that since they began, at least in the US selling cars primarily to lower income and bad credit buyers that kind of mentality just kind of stuck around. We had a BWM dealer that was the same, but on the other side. Had a customer who used…
The biggest problem with Kia is Kia dealers, both for new and used car sales, service and warranty repair.
My experience in Kia dealers is dreadful, but believe it or not I never had to go back for anything. My daughter now drives my 2013 soul and it is at 100k miles without a single unplanned repair. Its been maintenance only since it was brand new. Hell, even the original tires lasted 65k miles. Just do your deal…
I’ve had that from a Nissan dealership.
I would, but I don’t want 4 hits on my credit just to take the test drives...
Sad truth. My couple of experiences in Kia dealerships still haunt me to this day...
Oh, dear lord. I’m surprised they didn’t trot out the “Don’t you need your husband here for this, little lady?” line.
Too bad you have to go to a Kia dealership to buy it, an experience that—nine times out of ten—will leave you feeling so frustrated and abused, you’ll run straight to the nearest Audi dealer for a considerably costlier A/S5 Sportback, or to the BMW dealer for a considerably uglier 430i/M440i Gran Coupe.
I had a 75 VW bus, they called it the transporter. It had a slanted "H" pattern printed on the dash but that must have been put there as a suggestion of where you might find the gear you want. I could leave the keys in it with the windows rolled down and never worry that it would be stolen. There is no one besides me…
I’m wondering if the frame of the driver has anything to do with this. GTI MK6 was my favorite gearbox in a mid 20k car until I drove a 2018 Civic SI. The Honda is just so damn fluid it’s hard to beat... even with the snickiness of the MK6.
In 2015 I inherited a manual 1997 Chevy S10 with a V6, 4WD, no air conditioning, and manual roll-down windows. It was rusty and worn out and tired.
I drive an e-tron and haven’t had an issue. Live in an upper end neighborhood as well.
Never been stopped outside of going 110 in a 60. Even then I got a verbal warning. I was respectful and listened.
I didn’t get a strip search, didn’t get asked to step out, didn’t get beat up, and didn’t end up on the national news.…
Also, this Wagoneer probably has more than twice the HP as the old one. I don’t know how much better the MPG could be if it were designed for efficiency rather than speed, because as you said, physics, but it can’t help.
Coming soon to a grocery store parking lot near you: someone taking 5 tries to back one of these into a space then making a face like they nailed it.
This is what we did in January when we bought a new TV. It was a big upgrade for us, in terms of both size and picture quality, and it ended up being our first smart TV. But the first thing we did was plug in our Roku. Why? Because in general smart TV interfaces are bad, and Roku is easy and intuitive and already set…
