I hear you...i’m going to have to accept it if i get something bigger, but at the moment, the only vehicle in the household that isn’t a manual is kiddo’s (6:1, counting the motorcycles) and i’m not ready to give up shifting for myself.

and yet it sounds like there’s quite a bit of all 3, unfortunately.

i’ve had a few asking about my B-series (mid 2000's rebadged ranger), but they lose interest when i tell them it’s a manual. it’s a great height for loading and unloading, for real.

Now playing

we very recently picked up an X3 and kind of picking through what it can do. other than that rally video, the GTA (backpack mount) tutorial was one of my favorites.

so...what they really need to do is something akin to what the Euro brands do with factory pickup. maybe not the whole “experience” thing, but at a minimum have an option where you can handle all the paperwork with your dealer, take your paperwork to “whereever”, and drive back in your brand new car.  cut the whole

it really depends how much it was stripped down. afaik, the platform and mechanicals between the golf/gti and the scirocco are very similar, just a different shell. in theory, a GOOD shop could tear it all the way down to swapping the scirocco shell onto the R32 floor pan, and it’s mechanically still the r32,

“vertical scoped”. take control, replace the mods, load it with advertising, and ban the mention of any competing forums.

they apparently edited the ad, then, because now even though the url says Dodge Intrepid, the ad content is a stupid Taurus.

Definitely Wells Fargo.

and cant’ deal with handlebars either? otherwise, the can am trike (spider? spyker? whatever they call it now) would make more sense.  for what they want for a slingshot, i can’t imagine it making more sense than an mx-5, unless you just have to have that ANGRY face of the slingshot.

have a mid 90's accord, and haven’t seen any issues getting parts either. 245k and counting, original engine and transmission, afaik. (it’s been passed around the in-laws’ side of the family.)

given the number of dealers still tacking “added dealer markup” on every model on the lot (many to the tune of $10k-$12k, i don’t buy that it’s strictly the manufacturers that “have grown fat and complacent on low-production profits”...they can’t be THAT frustrated “sitting on inventory” if they think they can still

exactly what i was envisioning before i even got to the comments.

“Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years”

Here’s a 2012 convertible GranTurismo in the mid-high 30's...the better to listen to the exhaust.

not surprised. i bought my truck from a lithia dealer in fresno too. didn’t tell them i’d already run numbers with my bank in the morning before heading back to do the deal, and had them try to throw interest rates almost 5% above my bank, while listing that bank as one of them they’d checked.

i suspect the seller of the bug got called out on it, but that isn’t a super beetle, it’s a standard, and as it stands now, the ad doesn’t mention “super”.

watch out for the effects of living near saltwater.

i don’t know about anywhere else, but i’d estimate the number of cars on the road here (california) with at least one taillight/brake light out is roughly equal to the number with all three working.  some have 1/3, some have none.
