and almost get rear-ended because the one behind you just hears engine and jumps.

touché.

Hell, i’ll be the one to say it....it’s “San Luis Obispo”, not “San Louis Obispo”.

on a side note: having sat in a couple at the dealer/shows, i was surprised and impressed that as big as that wing is on the current CTR? it didn’t intrude on the rear view AT ALL. basically invisible from the driver’s seat.

and if you have a car new enough to not have to smog (first 5 or 6 years, i forget which), you get to avoid paying the smog certificate fee....except...instead they charge you a “smog abatement fee” for...i’m not sure what.

There are adapters for a few vehicles (Tacoma comes to mind) that go inline with the mirror harness and provide power for a camera

i just can’t get into racing on tv.

None of my vehicles was blessed with a cabin filter. 2 of them don’t have ac, and the bike doesn’t have windows to roll up

I envy him that. I AM a motorcycle guy, though hours a day and weeks at a time on mine would not be a comfortable thing. that whole cramming into a small town with a few couple hundred thousand other people just doesn’t sound fun (and didn’t even before covid was in the picture).

that’s probably the same one i’m thinking of; the hotel we were at was technically santa clara, fry’s was a couple small streets over (near a dismal sporting goods store), and costco maybe a city block down. san jose and santa clara do run together in that area, i think

i was going to ask, but now i see it in the url...i was awestruck the first time i went into that same Frys (burbank), but that was probably around 2000.

i can’t seem to find the vids anymore, but there used to be a notch floating around (i think southern california, in the early ‘00's) that could get the front end off the ground on the 1-2 shift and did low 10's. might’ve been one of the vw paradise guys...

The last time my truck was at the Mazda dealer I bought it from (for the airbag recalls), one lot guy took it off to wherever. then it turns out they didn’t order the parts, so they’re giving it back to me, and send a different lot guy to go get it...after a few minutes of waiting, here comes second lot guy, who wants

Imagine if GA allowed motorcycles to share lanes like CA does.

3 of the 5 in our house are 16 or older...my truck, her accord, and the vw.

i’m one of the biggest manual transmission lovers on the planet, but if i had to live in SF, i’d buy an auto. willingly.

indirectly, the pandemic is part of it, as it played into so many crimes in CA effectively becoming “catch and release” for months; the article mentions one department arrested the same guy 3 times in one day, and i saw multiple other articles mentioning people being arrested more than once in a day, cited and

more of a follow the leader than a cabal, really....each figuring out it’s more profitable to sell them optioned, and convincing people that THAT is what they need is an easier sell. business writeoffs absolutely feed it too. i think the demand is a good sign that convincing has been successful, that people are

they found it more profitable to convince everyone they NEED $60k luxobarge trucks with leather, satellite radio and sunroof, rather than meeting actual needs.

It wasn’t bad size wise when they made the 2 door Tahoe/yukon, but it also wasn’t a 3 row SUV at that point. Imo, that was a great size (single cab short bed 1500 size), and with those huge doors, backseat access wasn’t awful. Plus V8 power, actual 4wd...
