It’s probable..i don’t have a second convenient hertz location to compare it to; it’s the corporate response that really did it though, that really was largely “that’s our policy, sorry you aren’t satisfied, here’s a coupon”.

at least here (central CA), hertz wasn’t drastically cheaper the last times i rented from them (compared to budget/avis), and their rental fleet was pretty crap. one visit it was “we can upgrade you to a prius instead of the corolla”, another it was a chevy cruze that looked like someone had been parking by braille…

maybe i’m blasphemous, but i do use sharp cheddar for grilled cheese when that’s what we have (it’s always about what we have at the time, but we buy our cheddar in the 2 or 2.5 lb blocks at costco, and alternate between sharp and medium).  never used mayo, though, i’ve always used butter for grilled cheese.

100% agreed...the biggest obstacle to tracks besides liability is the neighbors.

the other big problem is one of the same reasons the number of accessible tracks is diminishing: nobody will accept this in their area, noise complaints, traffic complaints, etc.

Exacerbated by, as mentioned above, pinching every Nickel, skimping on maintenance, and running overloaded and/or underinflated.
