there’s lot of good roads, not just toward yosemite. buttonwillow and seca are each 3 hours or less, sonoma, a little more. thunderhill and willow springs maybe 5ish.  if snow is your thing (and the weather cooperates), there’s a couple resorts within a couple hour.  tons of places for foresty activities, and a bunch

thanks (both you and Caddyman) for giving a little perspective on the nicotine level thing.

What i found mentioned it on the r1,  followed by suzuki

On the other hand, i was pleasantly surprised with a rental 6 on the 1 further north...not your classic pch, i guess, but up past SF a ways. Had to stay within reason with the lady and kiddo in the car though.

As someone that compared the ‘15 models, and has spent a couple long weekends in a rented camry, and got a brief test drive in the most recent corolla hatch:

sounds like the last set of all-terrains i had on my truck. first winter, they were awesome (wet roads in the valley, up to the snow at 5-6k feet without chains). second winter, even just in the rain, wheelspin pretty much everywhere. it’d break loose in second if i got on the gas, from idle at a light in first, and

it would be awful if someone had bought all of the seasons on itunes, and used software to remove the DRM from the files, thus allowing them to be played back on their device of choice (perhaps, via Plex) instead of being tied to an apple TV...

can’t argue that one....if i were car shopping, it’d probably be the gti (other fun requires a truck, though).

also in CA here, and had a very similar experience when i was getting into riding and went looking at buells...rolled eyes, putdowns, and then steered over to the harleys instead.  no wonder buell sunk, despite some really innovative ideas.

i’ve had a completely dead (like hasn’t run in years, completely dried out) moto battery, and a blown subwoofer (in a demolished-and-only-held-together-by-the-carpet cheapie box) stolen out of my truck on different occasions.

It’s hard to tell from where the clip picks up...the truck is moving kind of slow, so it amost looks like it may have already gotten the red, and is now taking off at the subsequent green. If you’re overheight, you probably dont accelerate very fast, so a right on red can be a sketchy proposition, depending on cross

Was a 2 door tahoe for sale on a forum i frrquent, but (iirc) it was 5k. How about this:

about the only reasonable addition i can see would be splitting detection by lane, so they can have a big flashing arrow over the lane that’s overheight.

would it ever make it out of single digits?

what i thought of too....why didn’t they just use the SI shifter? or slot it in roughly the same place as the factory shifter, a la Bisimoto...

sounds like my dealer just didn’t want to be bothered then.

In all honesty, not really...looked into ordering a vw, and that was what the finance person said. Entirely possible it was a load of shit to sell something on the lot...we just bought something not vw instead.

Didnt think it was necessary to go over the entire backstory again (are past posts searchable?). Short version is two dealers less than an hour away, and both suck. Next closest after those is ~2.5 hours one way.
