for the new cars, it’s the same deal here. new cars don’t have plates; salesman snags a dealer plate for test drives. assuming everything is working, paperwork gets done when you buy, they print you a paper to stick in the windshield, and your new plates come in the mail in a couple weeks to a month.

i guess my experience (me, and the dealer’s attitudes) must be opposites then. if they came back and said “hey, there’s this recall that could be dangerous, can we hang onto your car and give you a loaner?”, i’d be glad they brought it to my attention (though i DO actually pay attention to the mail, too).

despite the manufacturer (mazda) saying mine was of a severity where i should not drive the vehicle, my dealer had no problem making me go get the truck out of their back lot (where the one guy who could drive stick parked it before he left, and no one else could drive it) and take it home, and then not bother calling…

i have to give this one credit for being less hideous, at least.

tire height and weight are the two variables in play. the less either of those change, the less effect it’ll have on acceleration, while potentially increasing grip with a better tire.

Also, shoving the long shelf board in the elthen new Civic? Sure...the trunk even closed.

If they made it, my other half would’ve picked that instead of the Civic, as she likes “small”...at this point, the Civic is bigger than her old Accord.

when the last upgrade came, i went from a gs5 to a pixel 2, and with the samsung cable and an included adapter, the pixel pulled the majority of the data over from my gs5.

The one reason that comes to mind would be a business (of which you’re a customer) calling from another internal line regarding your order, but spoofing it to show their main line, both for recognition and to not give out the other numbers.

honestly, i think some of them they hardly bother, and spend the money on more visible roads instead.

i guess it depends which ones you’re on, i’ve had my truck hop a tire width or so into the next lane on the curves on 110, and another time semi recently took some unknown surface streets from 405 down to long beach (though some pretty bad areas) that looked like they’d been bombed.

i’m going with the “absolute shit” option...from experience.

that is legit, my standard judgement for whether rear legroom is reasonable: adjust front seat where i’d have it, then sit behind it.

some of that hate is definitely deserved, though i’ve also seen notes of standout service in some of these articles.

truthfully, jumping from the new SI over to her old 97 accord....yes, i like rowing gears and the boost in the SI, but i also quite like the honest simplicity (and visibility) in the accord, even if it comes with a fair bit of mush from the suspension and the automatic trans. there IS a nice side of not having a touch…
