Dipping his toe in the tv pool makes a lot of sense. Pulling off a great show is an amazing feet, but anyone is gonna be a shoe-in, it’s him. I feel like when you put as much heart and sole into your films as QT does, you have to take some time to heel when it’s done. I wonder if it’ll be serious or, like his films,

Think how much they could save by getting rid of TSA....

I’m probably remembering this wrong, but in an interview with Cormac McCarthy, he said the only thing the Coens invented whole cloth was the bit with the dog and the river, which he loved.

100% agree. Been smoking the turkey for a number of years now. Brined overnight, rinsed, and then smoked to 165 degrees (confirmed via bluetooth thermometer) yields a delightfully tasty, juicy turkey.

And:

It’s probably more accurate to describe it as:
“Not an elaborate toy commercial.”

Pretty standard for an outlet that once complained about hearing about Olivia Wilde while writing an article about Olivia Wilde

I’m Hanukka Solman...the macher of the millennium dreidel.

Yeah, but how cool was that?

What? No reference to the fact that one of Cassian’s table mates is Melshi, future rebel soldier who dies alongside him on Scarif?

Right? The tone of this article is ridiculous. Now if it had been titled “What USDA beef grades mean” and done away with the meaningless diatribe it would have been more palatable.

Wow, feel judgemental much? A survey of 1084 people out of a population of... checks numbers... 258.3 million adults is fucking meaningless. Zero percent of adults I know are unaware of the difference between Prime and Choice USDA labeling. I just proved the survey wrong!

No worries. It has Eco right in the name.

I liked Avatar well enough when I saw it the first time, but I recently went and saw the rerelease and man is it a great fucking movie. People go on about the story being a rip off, belying their limited understanding of stories. They complain that great CGI doesn’t make a movie great, and then complain about

*spots “no one cares about Avatar” reference, takes a shot*

You’re going to watch a movie you don’t want to see for political reasons. What a perfect encapsulation of the absurd state of entertainment culture in 2022.

This was my favorite episode so far. Even though I couldn’t really *see* it, even with the lights off in my living room. The kids scene and the scene in the throne room were fantastic setting the stage for Blacks v. Greens.

what NOPE did to advance day for night cinematography, House of the Dragon just set it back 10x more. This episode looked fucking dreadful

I’ve seen the movie, and I can confirm that Twitter severely overreacted. There are controversial moments in this, sure, but going from how they overexaggerated it, I thought it would be more provocative than it was.

A ridiculous overreaction? By the click-hungry media press? I’m SHOCKED!
