I betcha Jimmy’s mom could solve the bollard problem on the way to soccer practice in that thing.
There was a preview for Gremlins on one of the Land Before Time stories I used to watch all the time. That preview traumatized me. I’ve still never watched the actual Gremlins movie.
It loosely adapts the Satsuma Rebellion, which didn’t involve a Tom Cruise type (although he would have fit in much earlier in Japanese history as William....... something, a British sailor who happened by and helped do a lot of important things, himself loosely adapted in the videogame Nioh).
This sure sounds like a fucking problem.
I can’t stand the Jackass line of programming, so I was really disappointed to see them leading off this year’s Shark Week programming. Damned if they didn’t make it one of the best Shark Weeks ever. Not on purpose, but during the “jump the shark” bit the dude fell in the water and got ate by a goddamn actual shark.…
Kinda frustrating that jokes abt actual violence to women don’t get as much outrage as jokes abt how fragile the trans community is.
On the one level I totally understand and accept and agree that there’s a good reason it’s different -- but also, it’s weird that if they called it a Crusade instead of a Jihad, it would be less offensive. Because it would be less offensive.

Replacing old characters with new, diverse actors feels like a cop out and it isn’t interesting or creative, its lazy.
Show me a better car chase and I'll agree that yeah, you're right, Mad Max is superior, but I still like this one too.
You could have, if you were quick enough on the draw.
Like, I could equally say single-family homes “serve no purpose” and we should ban them from being built, but everybody would, quite rightly, recognize that for the stupid, trolling statement it is.
Mean Tweets.
The use of pseudo-environmentalism to trick consumers into paying similar money for a cheaper or worse product. That’s.... a scam, innit? That sure sounds like a scam.
The speed at which everyone pivoted to “Obviously they don’t need masks, you bigot” just because the AV Club writeup kinda took that side, is shocking.
I can’t believe they let white people be in movies either.
