What are you riding that's such a pain to find parts for?

I was gonna make basically the exact same comment. It’s a Grand Am, and all Pontiacs from that era deserve a slow, painful death. I’ve worked on so many Grand Ams from that era.... Just the sight of them makes me angry.
This was ridiculous.
I wasn’t thinking of that when I wrote it, but damn it... now I do too.
I think leaving the splitter guards in place is kind of silly, but whatever. It’s not hurting anyone... I’m not gonna lie though... if I drove a Charger/Challenger and it came with pink splitter guards, I’d rock those motherfuckers, especially on a black car.
My other mom drives a Forester.
Whatever it is, the word “disruption” will be in the press release at least a dozen times.
I’ve seen exactly one in the wild. It did not disappoint.
Your mom sounds awesome.
I think the regular D5 looks kinda cool, but that green one with the round headlights is hideous.
I’m sure it’s a fine car, but the depreciation on one of these things has got to be fuckin catastrophic. I guess if you want something new and you’re planning on hanging onto it for a while, it’s probably fine, but I’d take a used Lexus LS for that money.
I guess he forgot to bring his lawn chair.
Facts.
That dude really committed to the fakery, and I admire him for that. But that’s it. Nothing else about this is admirable. Quite the opposite in fact.
I just appreciate that Hyundai actually tried something different, and on a vehicle in a dying segment no less. They could have easily just phoned this in completely, and it likely wouldn’t have made a difference since nobody but rental companies (and me) are buying sedans anymore.
Hell, in Portland, I feel like I see more Model 3's than Camrys these days.
Haha.. yeah, he was pretty cool in 1988.
Same here, except my dad’s was dark blue. Bought it used in 1988 with like 10,000 miles on it. I loved that car, and it eventually became my first car when I got my license. I’ve had like 13 cars since then, many of which have been nicer, faster, whatever, but that Merkur will always be my favorite.
If I had a garage spot for it, I’d be on the next flight to Seattle with $5k in my pocket. Somehow I’m not certain that it would make the 2.5 hour drive back home, but fuck it. I know it’s likely to be a nightmare, and an Italian nightmare at that, but I don’t care. Not all decisions need to be rational.
I have. It’s even better in person.
