Loved that game. Master of Orion with a fantasy spin.

I already had a joystick, but X-Wing was the reason I bought a sound card (SoundBlaster 16 I believe). Hearing that Star Wars theme, then the roar of the TIE-Fighter engines, oh man. You could see the expressions on wonder my face and the ones on my college dorm-mates, we were being transported back to our childhood.

Keep watching The Americans. In my opinion, every subsequent season has been better than the last, as the show keeps diving deeper and deeper into the characters.

AV Club Commentariot, help me, you're my only hope!

YAS KWEEN!!!!

There were bad guys in CHiPs? I thought there were just evil, overturned cars that tried to keep their occupants in the vehicles while they exploded.

I wondered how much of Joan's situation was a comment on women only making 50 cents on the dollar of a man's salary.

I read the sound of the wind whistling as Don seeing that there were cracks in this McCann-Erickson edifice, that this "advertising heaven" wasn't entirely solid but was a bit of a facade itself.

Robert Downey had Steely Dan play at his 50th birthday party. I too would tell some director to fuck off if I had to miss that.

According to Slate's Americans podcast, Frank Langella tells the most filthy jokes to Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell in between takes at his kitchen table.

Apparently she shot a pilot for CBS, so whether that gets picked up or not remains to be seen:

And it's a nice bookend to the "heroes" shot in the Season 5 finale, "The Phantom", when they were looking to expand into the upstairs space:

I look forward to seeing that costume at my next trip to Spearmint Rhino or Deja Vu.

"Three knuckles out of four"

In the Baz Luhrmann remake twenty years from now, "Tommen+Margaery", Margaery's character will be a Florida school teacher.
