The music in those opening credits never gets old. I don't think I ever skipped it.
I thought the hallway fight scene in episode 2 was probably the best sequence in the series, and maybe the most reminiscent of DeKnight's work on Spartacus. I do like how the series tries to show that there are some lasting physical consequences to the brutal fighting that takes place. I had my own issues with the…
The consequences of the Winter Soldier storyline were a real shot of adrenaline for the Agents of Shield series. It gave the series a direction and a propulsive energy that it really needed. If you want to revisit the show, those post-Winter Soldier episodes would be the ones to do it.
May 2nd looks like it will be a great night. First I'll watch Pacquiao and Mayweather beat on each other, then I'll watch Scarlett stroke some columns.
Playing a faceless character who chooses dialogue between four canned responses would still have more charisma than Agent Ward.
I'm not familiar with the name Borovan, but you nailed Amabael. She was one of our main tanks for many years. Love that girl.
Double-sided, double-density?
Elizabeth, in her simple nightgown and body language, really conveyed the look of a young teenager. It's as if she became the girl she was when she last left her mother. And Elizabeth and Paige looked really similar too, in the color of their outfits.
That was a nice Commodore computer there. Wasn't that Wordstar that Philip was using, George R.R. Martin's word processor of choice?
That would be Kil'Jaeden.
"That kid's nuts."
I was wondering about the front part of Philip's hair, where it looks like it's colored blonde to match the wig. Does he have to color it every time he visits Martha, then wash it out before he gets in bed with Elizabeth?
I used to play a lot of World of Warcraft with a bunch of Neopets people, but I never heard anything about the Scientology angle. Interesting.
My frustration with AFFC was that it cut out half the characters, and we weren't told why until the Author's Note at the very end. I kept hoping to read a Tyrion POV chapter and was mystified at his disappearance from the series. On a re-read that unfulfilled anticipation would no longer be there, but reading AFFC…
For some reason I read that as "Sexual Napalm", which is the first time I've thought of Jessica Simpson in about three years. First time I've thought of John Mayer too.
Wow, that was Oscar from Six Million Dollar Man? I never would have made the connection. Maybe it was the white wig.
TMC showed Scaramouche on Friday, so I watched that off the DVR. I had heard of this film because it's supposed to have the longest sword-fighting sequence in cinematic history, a 6-minute plus climatic scene. The scene was definitely worth it.
I was cringing the entire time because I was expecting that Philip or Elizabeth would have to go on a Pulp Fiction-style backseat brain detail at any moment.
Suddenly I picture Scrawler as Linda Cardellini, being told by Jon Hamm to stay in a hotel room until he's good and ready.
