As someone who pretty much only watches Castle when it's on reruns on TNT, this is rather shocking news.

That was a great episode. If I had just read a list of topics that they were going to cover, I would have stayed away thinking it was going to be a depressive wallow. But instead it felt surprisingly light, and Lyonne is amazingly quick with her quips and humor. There was a few minutes of awkwardness at the…
I do miss Andrew J. Offutt's Shadowspawn character from Thieves' World. He was the one spot of humor in an otherwise dour universe.
Fargo 2: Marge On The Run
The HMS Surprise still sits at my local maritime harbor, her sleek lines from prow to stern still urge us to take her flying through breezy seas.
Thou shalt not speak ill of Roy Scheider. In fact, Scheider's own shit came out as delicious Bananas Foster.
Look Who's Memento-ing Too?
Re: "turn actor", what a great quote. That sounds like something straight out of an A-plus Will Harris' Random Roles.
"[H]er true strengths lie in boiling human lives down to singular moments and revelations. Short stories about people who have brief, indelible encounters with strangers who seem to understand them as well as anyone else ever…"
"CONSIDER DIS A DIVORCE!" /lops off Cersei Lannister's head
Just hearing that music and seeing some of those scenes got me all pumped up about The Dark Knight again. I'm not sure I've had such a Pavlovian response to music since hearing the opening crash of John Williams' Star Wars theme as a child.
I upvoted your comment, but wanted to give an extra upvote for something that needs repeating: AV Club STOP FUCKING MAKING THESE VIDEOS AUTOPLAY
I actually read the first two D&E stories before I touched ASOIAF, then the third story after I finished ASOIAF. They are certainly well done, and I think they will enhance your re-read. Since the D&E stories are set something like one hundred years before the events in ASOIAF, a few of the people that are mentioned…
I hope the book you ordered for the GRRM short story was that Legends II anthology. I checked that out at the library for the Dunk and Egg tale, and it included short stories from Anne McCaffrey and Raymond Feist, a bonus for me since I was a young fan of their respective Pern and Riftwar novels.
I hope Boogie Nights will resonate for you as it has for me over the years. It's so well done and endlessly rewatchable.
The best episode of the series after the pilot, season three's "Clear" (the return of Morgan from the pilot) had the great comedy bit of the Perpetually Running Hitchhiker.
Carol has been my MVP since the second half of season two. Ever since Dale died, she's inherited the role as the "soul" of the company. She's one of the few people that make me care whether she dies or not.
Daryl is going for a February-May-December romance.
She obviously didn't care much for her own appearance or personal hygiene, but dammit if she didn't keep a neat and tidy tent.
Anyone know more about the abandoned New York City freeway that he mentions in Shakedown?
