Agreed with all, also wanted to add the Dark Forces + Jedi Knight first-person shooters.

Torn on whether to give this a chance. She's pretty good in roasts, but her "Mostly Sex Stuff" standup special was not funny. Plus I'm not really too high on Comedy Central's current low budget, throw-every-standup-against-a-wall-and-see-what-sticks approach. My current rankings (scale of 1-10):
I approve of Random Roles expanding to writers and showrunners.
I'm sure that Chris Hardwick is a nice guy, and who would be a great friend. He would remember your birthday and get you something, and would take you out to a movie and a late-night snack if he thinks you're down. As a TV show host, he's edgeless and competent. He's the nerd Ryan Seacrest.
Man, I love (loved?) him as Bobby Singer on Supernatural. He was the soul of the show, always trying to pull the Winchester brothers back from their stupider ventures with some down-home, "What the fuck are you thinking?" logic. I hope the show at least brings him back when they do one of their flashback or…
@avclub-99b410aa504a6f67da128d333896ecd4:disqus I love "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" as well, I think it carries the funk and joy forward that was the backbone of Off The Wall, and I wish Thriller had more songs like it. My favorite Michael Jackson song is probably "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". In that song,…
I agree, I prefer the pure joy of Off The Wall. But a McCartney duet was not on Off The Wall. "The Girl Is Mine" was on Thriller, and "Say Say Say" was on McCartney's album.
YOU KNOW NOTHING JON SNOW
Why did they replace a picture of Casey Wilson with one of Jane from Mad Men?
Snake Eyes, I didn't know if that was you or Black Bolt!
I love the Eagles, but "Witchy Woman" may be one of the dumbest noises ever pressed to vinyl.
Breaking the fourth wall can annoy me in a drama, but they usually fit right in on a good comedy. The movies have already been mentioned upthread, but I loved when the technique was used in Ferris Bueller and Trading Places.
God I hated that Bartleby the Scrivener when I read that story in high school. At that time in my life, I was forced into all kinds of afterschool activities and weekend schooling that I hated. So to read about some chump not doing what he was supposed to do just because he "preferred not to" really ate at my craw,…
I thought Hershel was going to show Milton his leg, and his hidden gun would accidentally go off. Best unintentional headshot since Pulp Fiction.
Candice was still wearing the smoking jacket at the cast goodbyes.
I remember seeing that Get High On Life special on NBC. It was a weird, like an Up With People variety show.
One thing correct about those favorite episodes is that none of those "hostful" episodes are listed. Those things are garbage. Nerdist is one of those podcasts that depend entirely on my interest in the guest to make me listen. And I agree with threads above that the interviews are much better when it's Chris alone…
He's the male equivalent of a nerd Ryan Seacrest.
I'm near the same age as you. I remember the early '80s as a big pile of suck. The helplessness of the Iran Hostage crisis still lingered, auto unions and air traffic controllers were on strike, both interest rates and unemployment were high. And lingering over everything was the fact that we might evaporate at any…
I went the other way with Morgan taking that shot. Even with body armor, taking a shot from five feet away with a .45 or .357 or whatever hand cannon Carl uses, I would expect that Morgan's bruise would have been down the entire side of his torso, and he would have a couple of broken ribs.
