I was hoping that they'd show that Morgan had been talking to a volleyball.

I saw the hitchhiker as a bookend to Morgan's saving of Rick during the pilot episode.  People might have showed each other compassion at the beginning of the outbreak.  By now, helping a stranger is just too dangerous of a risk to take.

The mix on Macklemore's vocals was terrible.  I could barely hear him.

I love that Sam Kinison bit. I think its hurt my friendship to a couple that now lives in Phoenix, because I scream it at them every chance I get.

"This is Top Chef, not Top Scallop!"

I agree, we want to see all five courses.  Guess what Top Chef Producers, WE WANT TO SEE THE CHEFS COOK.  Not to mention that the instant judging and scoring means that the chefs may change how they cook if they are leading or if they're losing.

Absolutely disagree on Last Chance Kitchen.  Last Chance Kitchen is one of the best things that this show has done.  It's MUCH harder to win LCK than continue in the main competition.  In LCK, you have to win, straight-up, week after week after week.  In the main competition, you just have to not be the worst chef out

The last one I remembered had G. Koski and someone else at a food/snack convention.  Unfortunately I think the segment worked best when it was about the Courage of Chang.

I wish the text in bold above would link to a special AV Club page where one could find all of the Internet Eating Sensation's videos.  It works for the AV Undercover music performances, I want to have one spot to see Dave Chang's greatest eating performances.

I'd go for Terry Tate, Office Linebacker.

According to the Bill Simmons' podcast, the Genie made a appearance at the NBA All-Star game weekend festivities and was a huge hit with everyone.

Michonne gave Andrea the female equivalent of the "bros before hos" talk.

Argo feels like 2000's Gladiator to me: a fine summer movie, but Best Movie of the year, really?  But none of this year's crop feel like Hall of Fame candidates, just candidates for the Hall Of The Very Good.  This is unlike 2000, where Erin Brockovich, Traffic, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon all seemed more

So true.  Top Chef's editing is both brilliant and aggravating.  I have to keep reminding myself not to put much faith in those split-second "reaction shots" with their accompanying dramatic music que, because the shots could have been spliced in out of context.

So true.  I almost feel let down when Collichio doesn't have a blog post up for the week.  I also like Gail's Q&A posts when they're available.

I think it's debatable, I think any of the top three could win Fan Favorite, and even #4 Lizzie could be a long shot.  All were very likable.

I think Season 4 (Chicago), Season 6 (Las Vegas), and All-Stars are my favorites.  Season 5 had great personalities (Fabio, Carla, Stefan, me giggling every time I saw Jeff was from The DiLido Beach Club, etc.) but I think their actual cooking skills weren't up to some of the other seasons.  Season 2 was memorable

I really liked All-Stars overall and think it had some amazing high points.  The Quickfire where they had to match or beat Tom Collichio's time on a dish…if I had a tail, I would have been wagging it furiously.

Actually, from Colicchio's blog post, he feels that Kristen won that round, not Brooke.  He felt that if Sheldon had stepped it up a bit, Brooke would have been the one sent home.
