*SPOILER* Last Chance Kitchen
I actually think Gods of the Arena was more consistent throughout than Blood and Sand, in that the first 3 or so episodes of B&S had really clunky exposition. I think the introduction of the new characters in GofA was done much more seamlessly.
I'm rooting for Lindsey and Grayson to fight over Malibu Chris, and him not being equipped to handle it because of his chubby kid background. Then the two of them team up to get him over his issues, and lots of coco butter is spilled.
Spartacus should have cracked the Top 30. I enjoyed the fuck out of that show. From it's first season where I thought it was a throwaway show to see tits and decapitations, it became appointment television. And to actually pull off a prequel successfully, that improved on the first season, might have been an even…
I'm glad that in the last two weeks, they've done away with the commercial cut-away before the Quickfire winner is revealed. It was a cheap way to try and generate suspense, and I hope it's gone forever. The Twitter twist was kind of gimmicky. Surprised that 90% of the tweets weren't just "strip down and cook…
DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD! Crushed by Dorothy's House-O' Bigfoot Meat.
All this time, I thought Tintin was the dog. Like Rin-Tin-Tin.
What are people's Tuesday shows? On Mondays, I have NFL football and my Pawn Stars guilty pleasure, and Wednesday nights is appointment television for me with Top Chef. On Tuesdays I'm usually just tooling around on the Internet until the Daily Show comes on.
Yes, was just going to mention the classic Chris Evert episode. I was never a huge Nora Dunn fan, but she was hilarious as Martina Navratilova.
The "Live From New York" book talks about how the cast used to love Tom Hanks, because he would stay up with them to the wee hours of the morning during the week, trying to punch up the jokes and make the show better. I guess guys like Hanks and Steve Martin (and John Goodman, who used to host regularly) just reach a…
For a couple of minutes, I was sure that last week's Kalle sketch was going to be a copy of Michael Myer's Dieter character, Euro-oddness for its own sake. As much as I love Dieter (probably my favorite SNL character ever), I'm glad they took the sketch in a different direction and decided to do something a little…
I enjoyed the episode as a whole, but I got an odd, melancholy-vibe when they did this "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" sketch. They didn't seem to be having as much fun as the other Old-Gang-Get-Together sketches. And Kattan needs a haircut.
Lobsters saw a different movie than I did. I'm of the opinion that Scrooged is at its best when Carol Kane is on the screen, and drags otherwise.
Fuck exploding volume on ads when you go to a webpage!
Brokeback back.
I'm actually two degrees of separation from the "SNL Sound Guy". Apparently he has to deal with the band's own sound people each week, and their alchemy together results in the inconsistent quality of the performances we see each episode.
Does Teller actually speak to people after the show? Or does he keep up the mute act?
I'm unreasonably excited to see them go to Southfork Ranch next week. I know J.R., Sue Ellen, and Bobby aren't going to be there, but I was a bit of a "Dallas" fan as a kid and I'm interested in seeing what that place looks like in real-life. It's not like they're can cook on the set of Buck Rogers or The Dukes of…
Having never been to Houston, I've got to think you have some great Vietnamese faire there. I would love to see what the chefs would come up with if asked to do their own take on a bowl of pho.
Okay, I don't have the game for one-night stands, but Yes to 1) high-priced escorts, 2) public bathroom masturbation, and 3) porn-choked computer.
